Blight Mains and DPI :)

Hey Blight Mains and hey everyone, i wanted to know which DPI do you use for blight?

First Question: Does DPI matter?

I have tested a few and every DPI feels wrong for me on blight. Everything over 2k feels bad when trying to hit someone while not rushing, meanwhile 2k feels way too slow when rushing/flicking.

I watch a pretty cracked blight player on yt and twitch (you probably know which one i mean) and he uses 6k DPI which i rly cant handle but flicks feel kinda good.

Second Question: Is there a trick or a workaround for that? How do you guys Flick with Blight (scoot surf, hug tech and so on) with lower DPI?

As a console blight I can't say anything about DPI but I know that it has no effect on hug techs and surfs.

I'd imagine that anything high enough to quickly 90 degree flick and hit someone out in the open who tries to spin you would be all you need, but take my words with a handful of salt bc I have basically 0 zero experience on mouse and keyboard

Thanks for your reply! So which sens do you use on console? 100?

I usually use 1000 dpi but for flicks I just crank it to 16k (from a dpi switch) because even though dpi has little influence on how far you flick anymore,I can't be bothered to pick up my mouse then swipe it again mid flick since I don't have that much space.

    Thanks for your help.

I don't have much space either so i have the same problem.

How do you switch the dpi? Do you click the dpi switch once for a change and then click it again to be on 1k dpi or do you hold the dpi switch for the dpi change?

I tried it with a standard toggle switch on my mouse but this is not very fun to use for me. Thats why im asking for.

Is there a way to have a non toggle dpi switch, so while holding down the button -> change dpi?

DPI only affects how much you have to move your mouse to do the flicks. I play a lot of Huntress and Slinger so my DPI can't be very high, and I can still do things like scoot surf and z flicks.

If you don't have a large mouse pad, or if your wrist is sensitive, you might want to consider higher DPI. If not, low will do.

https://youtu.be/NAh5JOKZf-E here's scoot surf on low DPI for example.

Uh depends on the type of mouse you have. I have a razer mouse so I programmed one of the side buttons with a Sensitivity/DPI Clutch so it's basically what you describe. It'll change the DPI while you're pressing the button then revert your dpi once you let go of it. If you can try to find that option of a Sensitivity/DPI Clutch for whatever mouse/program you're using.

I don't see how people can play with high DPI. I hover around 300 DPI and in-game sensitivity of 50%

I literally play with 10k dpi both survivor and killer, ut i adjust my sens to 0 for it to feel good. I just adapted to it after some time (when we could still jflick)

Hope you'll find whatever dpi suits you pal ! Have fun with Blight, and keep on watching your favorite cracked streamer we all know ;)

Yup, but even at 100 it won't let me catch people who simply turn left and right in the open, that's just how it be playing controller Blight.

I dont know. I just flick to the side like im swatting a spider and ######### happens.

For real, i dont think i have messed with my dpi at all, it just comes off.

You're right. Scoot Surf and Moonrush are the only viable 180 options i guess. At least for me they seem to work but not always.

The Guides online show that Pc players can flick a little further i guess.

High DPI doesn't change the range of movement, it just lowers the space required to get to it. Barring some weird lag shenanigans. I would say start at a normal DPI and steadily increase it as you get used to playing with it. Eventually you'll plateau to a level that you can either still control or fits your playstyle the best.

3400 dpi at 50% sensitivity is comfortable for me. It's my DPI for all killers and I use it for Blight as well. I also have turning bound to Q/E and use both the keys and mouse for flicks.

For scoots/hugs, it's a lot of map and tile memorization. The basic gist of it is look straight down and angle slightly in the direction you want to go.
