PSA: Don't Bully New Players, Especially Me
Today I decided to learn how to play nurse, take advantage of the Hunt, maybe figure her out a little bit. Figured the extra points would make up for how boring games against me would be. I'm just trying to blink places, like I said, I'm completely new to any of the alternative-style killers, I'm a Bubba/Demo/Nemesis type of player.
I'm cranking out old challenges about chasing glyphs, kicking gens, etc. Stuff I can blink around and do. I'm trying to patrol using blink, I'll take a swing, try to chase, but I'm not really at the point where I can hit anyone after a blink unless it's just good luck. I'm not going for kills, I'm at top MMR and wouldn't mind sliding back to the middle where I belong. I'm just trying to learn the basics.
So today I got two 4k's, four 3K's and lots of 2Ks. So many douchebags playing this game drooling for any chance to bully someone. Didn't you people have parents? What the hell makes skilled players act like sick weirdos? Nobody thinks you're cool.
So anyway, don't bully a baby nurse with the assumption they are a baby killer. I will down you on loops using the slowest killer, I'll blink around you until you die, I'll get others from your team if they come for you. Ask the ones I took out today. You can't escape from a non-blinking nurse? Don't make me embarrass you like I did multiple survivors today.
Now leave me the ######### alone when I'm doing my thing. I'm going back to my blinking, be nice and you'll get most the points. Act like a douche and I'll kill you on first hook.

Um... Anyways, most of these people can ONLY bully newer players and you saw evidence of that given you decided to punish them for doing it and it actually worked. They are bad players who just want an ego boost. I would ignore them and focus on your actual goals.

Don't sweat it, I've been playing for years and don't feel any anxiety about this game. I'm the guy that tells other killers how to not get stressed.
One of the secrets is just doing your own thing sometimes. Also get revenge whenever possible.
But seriously, I'm more concerned about survivors treating new players this way. Embarrassing.

Being walked after by a Nurse that doesn't blink is kinda terrifying. It's like waiting for a Huntress to raise her hatchet to toss it.
You wait for the inevitable, but it never comes. The Nurse floats menacingly. Always moving forward. Never losing track of you.
There are no jukes. She is always on the horizon. You cannot stop to do bones. Do a gen. Heal a teammate. She walks towards you at all times.
You cannot run. The exit gates cannot open because you can't do a gen.

I feel your pain.
There are some people who will teabag in the exit gates and call you a scrub in postgame after you gave them gate after a DC.
Just...have to remember that these are almost certainly very unhappy people who don't really have an outlet other than being jerks to anonymous strangers online.

It's not actually that cool, the other 3 will just do gens while you chase someone with like 80% speed.

To be honest I kind of like it. I go easy on less-experienced players, but if a survivor is good enough to put effort into taunting, I assume they can deal with camping and tunneling. My favorite part of this game, killing people who wanted to make me mad.
My concern here is the levels survivors will go to make a player give up this game. New players shouldn't have to deal with that. Four people in afterchat berating a new player, maybe a kid.
I like the aggression, I think hating the people I'm killing makes it better. I like it when survivors are so dedicated to being ######### that they'll lose a game over it. Bubba will oblige.

That is the thing though, they don't have to necessarily be good to taunt. Slap on a Haddonfield or the Game offering, find the nearest safe pallet, drop it, and away you go, shake that booty. Doesn't take much skill to just run to the next loop and drop more tea bags.
Or just play in SWF, use a bit of communication and common sense, and you can escape most games and teabag at the gate.
If you got a 15 kill streak against me and my team on Halo, teabagging all the while, then you have my respect, and you earned that teabag.

I grind, my reward for winning is being at an MMR where everyone brings the meta, 3 to 4 second chance perks each, at least one object calling out my every move, covers the map in boon totems, heals in 4-8 seconds, BNP toolboxes...
If fun is had, I don't care who wins at all. It's a ten minute game.

Well if chasing someone faster than you, and not scoring a hit all game, is fun, then go for it, you'll have a blast

Oh you're right, I'm not saying they have the skill to deal with me in hardcore mode, I'm saying that if they taunt me, I kill them as if they do. I slugged 3 of them right after posting this thread, they just kept piling on despite my Starstruck. It happened so fast I went looking for the last survivor, but they were all in my pile by the hook. One of the shortest trials I've ever played, they were stupid, helpless babies.
They would have all escaped, but they decided baby nurse killing them all really fast would be more fun.

Yep I had a game like that last night as well. Literally only just got the Trickster, and must have got value out of Starstruck about 5x across 3 games, one of which resulted in a double slug.
It just gets to a point where you get the toxic ones who are also good at the game, that's when it stops being fun.
Usually the ones who go down like that end up DC'ing or are suspiciously absent from the post game lobby.

DC is the ultimate submission. They're too ashamed to let it play out, so they're giving up all their BP. They like to pretend they think it's hurting the killer, but that's just to help them feel less humiliated.

Who said I didn't approve of silly matches. In fact I haven't played a serious game of DBD in weeks.
Just pointing out it gets really old after the first minute of chasing someone and not scoring a hit. Basement Bubba is where the real thrills lie.
But it's cool, I can stop bumping this thread if you like and we can let it die in peace.
