I wish I did Adept Demo and Steve prior to the adepts leaving...
Seriously I hate these replacements achievements.
What was Adept Demo: Achieve a merciless victory 5 times in a public match with only 3 universal perks equipped.
FIVE TIMES???? IT'S HARD ENOUGH TO DO IT ONCE WITH MMR!!!!
What was Adept Steve: Escape 8 times while repairing the equivalent of 1 generator with only 2 universal perks equipped.
*takes a deep breath slowly* not even going to comment...
I hate these achievements and I wish I just did Adept Demogorgon and Adept Steve.

I tried Adept Demogorgon several times pre-removal.
I gave up on maybe my 6th close attempt, after realizing that the hardest part wasn't the achievement itself, it was finding a team that will let you get a Merciless without DCing at some point.

It is not hard to do after Grade Reset. The Requirement for a Double-Pip is far lower then. And you have at least some decent Perks, IMO you can choose between Whispers, Sloppy Butcher, Fearmonger and Jolt. The others are not that good, but in Ash Grade you might get away with using NOED as well.
And you can use any Killer you like, so you can go for Legion, who is the easiest Killer to get Emblems.

They aren't so bad.
Play Legion on a rank reset and it's pretty easy. I have achieved merciless in the past with every survivor escaping

I thought OP said you could only have 2 universal perks equipped, so why does playing Meg make any difference, if you can't equip SB/Adrenaline?

What do they consider an "universal perk"? Is it the ones that arent associated to any character?

I finished adept demo and steve before the change but tools of trade I just finished and it was definitely hard since I keep facing red ranks who kept genrushing, leaving me less time to farm. I had 2 merciless on pig, 1 on blight n 1 on plague n last one with legion. With pig your traps work against you if they die by a trap or people killing themselves on first hook which happened a lot. Facing red ranks with legion was easiest to get merciless due to feral frency map pressure so id recommend that with universal perks. Other killers getting points was way harder to achieve.
