Other common topics that might deserve their own sub forum might be "killer/survivor concepts and ideas" etc etc

    There are, these are called Feedback and suggestions.

    No one's going to use them, sadly. You don't get much recognition as often from posting things in feedback & suggestions, or even in general because people prefer replying to complaint/controversial threads.

    We have both of those, the first is Creations - for killer/survivor ideas. The second one is Feedback & Suggestions.

    The problem is, people only want their discussion to be in "General" where it doesn't fit and avoid putting their threads into the correct sub forum - it compounds the whole "nobody reads those sub forums", except they do as most of our analytics on the forum show. Plus most people use the "recent discussions" section, which covers all sub forums as well.
