Will DBD being free on Epic Games be a problem?
When GTA V was released on the Epic Game store for free there was a mass influx of hackers. If they got banned who cares because it was free so there's basically nothing to lose. With the issue of hackers on DbD, especially at the higher MMR ranks. Do you think more hackers will come with it being free?

I hope dbd will be free too, since its completly pointless to keep this game pay considering all the skins, dlc etc that it has. But hell no, not on epic games.

Maybe a few, but I don't really think it'll be enough to warrant calling off the free offer. Whether the game is available for free on EGS or not, they're going to have to do something about the hackers and the problem will get worse the longer they take, so I don't see this making a tremendous difference beyond maybe an initial spike that lessens over time as the novelty wears off.
I think most people who are inclined to hack this game will use the free offer to snag up some backups, rather than a fresh wave of new hackers.

It's free to keep, meaning all the cheaters who've been banned can just use their epic account to claim the game and go straight back to cheating
at least before they had to buy the game again or use family share (which also carries risks of their other acc being banned as well). Now there's no such risk

Very likely unless BHVR improves some security and upgrades anticheat program.
I'm fine with it being free for a while but worry a bit as many people are skeptical of it.

It's going to be a massive problem. A full week of infinite, free-to-make accounts? The cheaters who don't want to spend money on burner accounts will have a grand time with this.

Itll probably drown out the hackers if anything. The hackers tend to be the same few losers.

I'm very glad that DBD will be available on Epic Games, but it will also attract a lot of hackers.

There might be more hackers, yeah, but the offer is only for a week and we already have plenty of hackers as it is. I don’t think it’s really going to change much.

The game is only going to be free for the week on the EGS right? Still considering the hacking problems we've had lately there's gonna be a week long period of seeing more of them, that's for sure. But I don't think it'll be too bad, at least that's what I'm hoping.

Why just hackers?
Toxic people with multiple accounts, that DC every time game goes bad or even killer cary them to the hook.
People who want to run 2 games at the same time. Testing their builds, cheating or just exploring the maps for totem spawns and other things. Now they don't need to buy second account or ask a friend to help with the custom game.
So queue waiting time goes up. Amount of DC from the game too :(

and whats the difference? You can get a dbd key for 3$ nowdays. BHVR cant care less about cheaters at all, it wont change.
