Hit Validation and Killer Grabs

Playing as killer and seeing your hit be taken away because of Dead Hard is too confusing(survivor scream audio cue and visual blood splatter) and just feels bad. I wish the killer grab mechanic was the same instead of just turning the grab attempt into a basic hit. Hit validation is there to reduce the occurrence of bad interactions between players and yet it feels like killers continue to receive bad interactions while survivors are rewarded.
