Mystic Min build

Been playing with this recently, and I quite like it. It's a change of pace/style from my usual Meg setup.

Bond, Dark Sense, Alert, and Spine Chill.

The idea is simply to keep tabs on the killer. Bond works pretty well for that (can see where the people being chased are) and gets me the heals. Just wondering if anyone has any better suggestions.

I use to use Alert if I didn't feel like using Bond (since I normally play selfish) but now that its gotten buffed I'm really enjoying Alert.

Yeah, the recent changes to Alert were really smart, and make it a nice one to use. We must be missing something though because, as we're told, survivors have had nothing but nerfs and noone plays them anymore. LOL.

Spine Chill is there to help protect my arse if the killer is sneaking up on me - I love that perk too.

Of the four, Dark Sense is the one I'd like to replace if I could think of something better (but still some kind of aura detection thing).

(And if you're wondering what happens when I'm up against Myers... I get stabbed. That's what.).

If you are feeling bold try using OoO, its a fun perk if you think you can stay hidden or break a chase.
If you want to keep with the theme of this build you can also use Small Game for finding totems and traps (a vision that danger is near!)

Ah, nice thinking. I tend to stay away from obsession perks because I'm always the bloody obsession and it never works out for me. However, maybe its time I learned to deal with this. Lol.

Failing that, Small Game is a great suggestion. Cheers fella.

People insist that Empathy is superior to Bond when it comes to knowing where the killer is during a chase.

Depends. I prefer Bond because I can see survivors who have not been hit running around meaning I always know who is being chased. Also if someone gets hit who isn't in my aura radius then I know the killer is far away and I don't need to worry. I would only say Empathy is superior if you plan on going for heals.

It probably is. But Bond is also super entertaining, I love pestering people when they're hiding in a locker for no reason. ;)

I guess the infinite range of Empathy is worth a lot, but being able to tell who's in a chase without them being injured (you can usually tell from erratic movement) is great too. Either would probably work fine for me in this.

Similar debate over Premonition and Spine Chill. Tried both, and I prefer Spine Chill.

Oh, any thoughts on Open Handed? I've not unlocked this and so never bothered to read the description before.

_Increases Aura reading ranges by 4/6/8 metres. _

Guessing that means it doesn't work with Spine Chill though.

It is, Bond and Empathy work well in different situations, but Empathy works best because you can see exactly where someone else is being chased. While with Bond you can't because there is a limit to the range, so you will only know if they are close. :p
I prefer Empathy, but I love using Bond as well.

You haven't seen two Open-Handed IIIs and Kindred III, have you?

@Eight I know that I'm working on getting Deja Vu, Object of Obsession, Dark Sense, and Kindred for a psychic build for Meg Thomas. For her Fortune Teller's set of course.

I usually run deja vu, lithe, lightweight (going to switch to dance with me asap) and technician.
Might swap technician with urban evasion if I get the chance.

    Stealth mode.

Actually Open Handed is great!......when someone else is giving the effect to you. :p

Played a few games with OoO instead of Dark Sense last night. Was great, except for the constant paranoia about whether they're heading your way because they can see you. :)

OoO is a great perk, then Freddy appears.

Lol. Well, I often make bad mistakes against him. So a build that weakens me against one killer in particular, isn't too bad. Especially when it's not a killer you see all the time.

First version (using Dark Sense) essentially meant I was running with only Bond against Myers. That was fun, and he's super common at the minute. But I actually enjoy playing against him so wasn't too bad. I don't mind losing anyway. I guess this one puts me at an even greater disadvantage, but it's still good fun.

Was great against a Nurse. I ended up the only person (still alive) who hadn't made the gates yet. She was blinking from one gate to the other. Every time she went left, I was running right. And then the opposite. Took a while but I eventually made it through.

I need to understand the circumstances under which the killers can see me with OoO. Time to study the wiki.

I've never really played with Obsession perks (rarely even use DS) so have a lot to learn. I'm used to perks like Dead Hard, Lithe, Sprint Burst, Quick & Quiet, Lightweight, Dance With Me etc. Not these ones.

I ran Deja Vu on Feng for a while (with technician and I forgot what else, basicaly a "get ######### done" build). I liked it, Underrated perk.

@Eight What I personally enjoy about Deja Vu is how it can stop the three gen strat while also helping out in events. During events with special generators Deja Vu shows different colored auras depending on what generator it is revealing. It was just grand during the BBQ event.

Spine chill can be countered if the killer was to turn around

True enough. Still a nice little perk though.

Maybe less useful now that I have OoO in there.

Yeah, I tried that one. Didn't get on so well with it - but that was in a general build, it might fit in better in this one.

May as well give it a whirl. Cheers.
