I really miss Hawkins

Title. My favorite map is gone. Now all I have left is Midwich and Lery's. There are not nearly enough tight, enclosed maps now. I really wanna see it or a similar map come back in some form.

    I wouldn't miss a single map honestly.

I liked it for my scratched mirror Mikey games. But that's all.

Hands down, my favorite map. All my favorite Killers - Nurse, Nemesis, Bubba, Mikey, Legion, Plague - excelled there and there are vanishingly few tight indoor maps left. Lery's comes close and Midwich is still excellent, but now my map pool shrank massively. I'd love to see a rework of the map; I liked @jesterkind's suggestion of making it Trickster's map.

For all the hate it gets, you have to give props that it is the best indoor map the devs ever gave us. Unique atmosphere, hooks, loops, everything. It wasn’t your copy paste DbD map. Sure it had some aspects I didn’t like, but overall it places first on every indoor map released so far.

I don’t. It was an awful map.

    This map was straight garbage.

Map with good things like design and unique loops. But, gameplay was terrible. It neutered the fun powers. I had this map so much as Hillbilly and I hated every minute of it. It gave survivors a bunch of weak pallets with few windows. And gave killers hard to reach gens and difficult tracking. I think they should reuse the general layout but give it good changes

I don't. It was one of my least favorite maps as killer and survivor and ST is one of my favorite shows so you'd think I'd love the map (same for RE: I dislike that map in dbd but love it in its game) but dbd has the habit I suppose of making the licensed maps terrible. Lol

What I'm sad about in terms of ST is future players never having a chance to play as Nancy Wheeler, Steve "the hair" Harrington or our beloved demodog. The characters were / are fantastic but the map was meh. It had a nice aesthetic though I'll give it that.

Me too, I'm one of the few who adore the indoor maps, both sides. Its understandable why some don't, but imo this was one of the best and had the most unique loops. I recorded every single game I played on that map after the news, so at least I have that.

I don't understand why people hated the map. It sucked for the killers that suck on indoor maps, but mainly Billy - ranged killers tended not to be quite as bad as they are on some others due to the long and narrow hallways.

I enjoyed it as both killer and survivor and the atmosphere was incredible. My only complaint about the map was that the upstairs part was herp derp levels of bad for any kind of evading the killer.

The thing I miss most about the map is the drop. Stealth and trap killers collectively weep for what they've lost.

I loved the map. I never had issues as killer or survivor playing it. In fact it was one of the better maps for some killers like Michael.

no way, I'm glad Hawkins is gone.

Now we just need to get rid of RPD.

Me too I miss hawkins map.

    Great map for jumpscare myers

creepy unable to see around corners while working on gens a survivor

Good layout that was enclosed enough to play around but open enough that you weren't just getting stuck all the time, unlike RPD with is just a confied crap shoot of a map.

You'd think they could just reskin it and change the name and aestheitc so it was no longer stranger things related and bam you have the underground lab map.

I miss it too. I hoped they’d reskin it and let us have it back.

especially when you are a ranged killer and you can never quite get the layout of the place so generators were a nightmare to find

I never had an issue with Hawkins on either side, I actually liked the layout.

I hope they add the same layout just with different level art.

I miss it, too. It was fun as both killer and survivor and it had a bunch of unique tiles. It also had a cool aesthetic.

It was my favourite map too.

I hope the devs out of the kindness of their hearts give us a third map this year as our net map count has barely gone up in the last couple of years.

I am not even playing DBD and I miss Hawkins too.

It is weird to think that the map is completely gone now.

I still dont get why they had to drop the map instead of reskinning it I know it was part of the license but it was our other indoor map after leries and we need more of those

It had very unique loops which I miss. It was a fun map to mindgame loops because although most loops were unsafe you could chain them together. And if you couldn't, the feeling of winning a mindgame and getting a stun on one of the unsafe pallets was awesome.

A lot of people who didn't like the map would not chain loops together. I've had games on Hawkins where the killer thought they could catch up without breaking the pallet but eventually figured out that they had to break it

Yeah, I get sad every time a map loads and I remember it'll never be Hawkins again. And now we got the insanely boring, bland Eyrie of Crows in it's place and I hate that map. I just wanna leave game every time I get it.

I only miss it when there is a break x amount of walls/pallets challenge in the rift xD
