Has anyone else noticed Pinhead's indicators being wrong?

I just quit out of a game because I watched a Dwight pick up the box, but when I'd zoom in to hook him, then cancel the hook. the in-map indicators were saying David was using the box. Even though the UI with the character portraits said it was Dwight.
What is even happening?
