The Only RE Licenses We Have
The only licenses we have are Resident Evil 2 (2019), Resident Evil 3 (2020), Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 5. This is important information. I mainly made this because I just keep getting annoyed when some ask why we don't have certain characters like Barry from Resident Evil or when some call it the Resident Evil Chris. Remember this or there will be consequences.... :)

This is a very good point
If we're getting anymore outfits or legendary skins, they'll be from those games.
As far as legendary skins are concerned, I could see us getting Carlos or Ada most likely, not sure about killer since Nemesis... the options really aren't there

Well It is possible for the other ones like actual classic outfits licensed from those original games. I'm just saying it's unlikely because of what we have now. Like Chris. They clearly did that because it was probably cheaper to get the RE5 version. Or Jill's classic. So still possible for classic stuff but I definitely doubt it.

With this new Snowman event they should just do a tofu event where it's basically the same thing but Tofu. And Tofu makes his noises.

I'm curious about Mr. Winters potentially coming to the game. If that even is considered, should his perks be based on his "special" properties?

I think this is wrong as Capcom owns all their licences.
They just took the newer games because younger people know them better.
Ethan is first person and therefore not as interessting (for me at least).
Leon is the general most liked character - Claire was also in the Remake and Jill and Chris are "iconic" ones.
Nemesis was is most logical choice.
From the attention point Lady D has to be next.
Barry, Ada or Hunk are also a bit more for the "older" Resi players i would say - but i am sure those would also be very loved.

What's the representation of RE5?
Chris is in his S.T.A.R.S outfit from REmake 1. You could argue that he facially resembles RE5/Revelations Chris, but that's more because he didn't appear in REmake 2 or 3 like Leon, Jill, Claire & Nemesis did, so BHVR had to get creative with his design.

He doesn't have a face yet that Capcom has officially revealed so he isn't really possible right now. That also probably means forever unless DBD is still going with the RE content in 2024/2025 is when RE9 was leaked to probably be coming out.

They took the newer ones since they are probably cheaper or Capcom only let them use those. And yes you are correct. Capcom owns all their licenses. That's the point. Behaviour so far seems to not have them all. The only content we have is 2R, 3R, 4, and 5 like I said. If it was BHVR's choice I 100% guarantee we'd have classic stuff like classic Nemesis being the default most likely and ACTUALLY having the real RE1 outfit.

Because that is the RE5 version of that outfit which is a bonus outfit in that game which probably means it is licensed from RE5. That's why he has the earpiece and certain other things from RE5 on his outfit. RE1 he didn't have a beard or an earpiece or insane muscles or that hair style. All that is RE5 stuff. It makes it weirder once you figure it out because what they did was make a version of the character that was never in the story and was just a bonus now part of the story so they can fool people.

Hm, maybe you are right. I always thought of a license partnership and not that BHVR bought individual stuff from Capcom.

I mean who knows. I could be totally wrong on this. I'm just using the fact that they chose these things to make my claim make sense. Like they could most certainly secretly have access to all RE games but what makes me doubt it is stuff like Jill's classic outfit. It's the remake version not even the full on classic one. Little things like that. And especially the absence of any sort of classic Nemesis skin. If they had it I mean I'm sure we would have classic Nemesis when that chapter even launched.

Bought Claire so I could swap between the two depending on who's bugged.
Leon already has a Chris skin and nobody complains about him. Then again I almost never see Chris's

The problem with Chris is that the Chris in DBD wasn't ever in the RE story. They took a Chris from a bonus mode/wearing a bonus costume that he never wore in RE5's story. You can tell it is ripped and licensed from RE5 and isn't just inspired by RE5's face is because he has all the stuff from RE5. Such as the earpiece.
