How to make blood warden better

Blood warden is pretty good when it activates but it’s not used cause it’s so situational and the survivors can prevent it by 99ing the gates. Here’s my buff to make it better

The auras of any survivors within the exit areas are revealed to you. Once per match, when a exit gate is opened the entity will block both exits for 40/50/60 seconds. If a survivor is hooked the timer of blood warden will pause until that survivor is unhooked.

short and simple make it activate automatically, You hook someone the timer pauses and they need to rescue that survivor

    On one hand suggestion looks promising and on another 4 survivor dying to EGC because of you timing Bloodwarden activation is tempting still for memes.

    Alternatively I wonder if Blood Warden would be too powerful if it just automatically activated when the gates opened? After all, No Way Out automatically activates when someone touches the gate panel and has a similar effect, why not just remove the hook requirement on Blood Warden and simply block the exits for a set amount of time?

    I use Blood Warden specifically to punish swf bully squads who decide to F Around and be jerks instead of just taking their W and leaving.

    If you make it automatic, that means I can't come back at the one minute mark to try to have them find out.

    Sure, it rarely ever actually comes into play but the times it does come into play is so GD satisfying.

    That would be a bit too broken tho, at least, if the EGC timer isnt paused together with the Bloodwarden pause.

    Because the way you describe the perk right now: Equip noed+bw, down a survivor, open the exit gate manually, hook the survivor, camp the survivor untill they die, still have practically 60 seconds remaining on BW, hook another survivor, pause the timer again, repeat untill the EGC timer is low enough.


    So either EGC needs to be paused too for this to be somewhat fair, or it needs to become a hex.

    thats why the EGC timer pauses when people are downed and hooked so that way it can’t be abused also you can always swarm the hook and loop the killer for the 60 seconds
