This is why killers call the game survivor sided!

You mean like when people are asked to use small game instead of a game changing perk like DS just because the killer might have noed?
8 -
He said they were a 4 man SWF and he was wrong. I bet he's also wrong about the Stretch Res. Tru3 is known for blaming everything else for his loses.
He's also playing a sub-optimal perk build against an optional SWF perk build. He is going to be a lot more prone to lose when he does that. This video proves nothing, except that people want to cherry-pick a video to prove their point.
5 -
the game has always been survivor sided because 4 survivors will bring more money than 1 killer. That is nothing personal, it's just business.

"Horror game"

I've seen the video, and it's painful. These people are extremely sad individuals and probably cheating to some degree. I wouldn't put such petty behaviour above these people who likely have way too many hours in this game and need to make everyone as miserable as them.
That said, Legion is a garbage killer and is no example of 'survivor sided' situations. Tru had no power to work with.
I've played with a trio that did this to a Nemesis (I was solo), this does seem like a map of choice for these sorts of people and they bullied the hell out of the Nemmy. I just wanted out of the game and did the gens and left. But this is some big meme many people are catching on and may even cheat to an extent thanks to the free game.
I think it's important to remember that this isn't the norm. This isn't even the strong SWF norm. This is a very nasty bully squad that would do anything to ######### on killers weaker than them. Tru is by no means bad, but his killer was awful and the perks aren't great overall. He had no chance with people that have all the same hours as him all working together to mess with him in a map they chose. Do not portray typical games or even the average SWF as anything close to this. You probably stomp the majority of them and feel very, VERY good about yourself until 1 out of 10 games you feel bad because they were better than you. These bully squads are 1 in 100.
A point on survivor queues: Why is it so hard for forum dwellers to grasp the simple concept that queues are dependent on time? With exceptions to specific events or changes, there are hours where killer queues are faster, and hours where survivor queues are faster. This mindset that survivor queues are so slow because killers are mega victims (they are not, stop it) is silly. More common sense would probably improve one's odds in winning games as killer too.
Anyway, no one reasonable is arguing that CoH is fine btw. Only the most deluded of actual survivor mains say this and they likely fully admit of their malicious intent to their peers. There are some loops that are too strong, none of them are in Dead Dawg Saloon. They're mostly annoying and boring to deal with. I agree to ######### macro spams though, they're so loud and annoying.

But as soon as True catches on to that strat, he catches one off guard, picks them up while having his camera clip through a wall, and he still got blinded.
That smells more like hacking.
6 -
Yeah, that through the wall flashlight was sus. Could have been a weird stretched res angle.
1 -
no, that's just the window being awful. It's spotted later on: there's a tiny crack in it.
So it might as well not be there as far as the flashlight is concerned, because logic.
1 -
Yeah it could be some sort of exploit. In any case these guys are likely petty enough to go as far as actual cheating. Absolutely pathetic. I enjoy SWF's that mess around without sweating, gens rarely got done and loads of flashy fun happens. These days, it's no longer memes and just malicious pushing around with mega sweat on the side. I don't understand these losers.
0 -
hahaha NOPE, when the game is so broken you cant tell if its a hacker or not lmao

If killers were not able to be blinded during locker pick ups it would be different. If a survivor is dropped in the open I can always position my character to face a wall or rock when picking up; I can't change position during a locker pick up.
That wouldn't change the whole 'let's mess with the Killer for fun' attitude or the stretched res but it would at least help alleviate one of the problems. Personally, I think killers should just be able to declare a defeat and open the gates after a certain amount of minutes. That way, when faced with people whose only goal in the game is to make the killer miserable, you can just end the game, give them their 5K for survival, and find a fun match.
2 -
thats called stretched resolution
1 -
Stretched resolution allows survivors to see over and around obstacles that they're not supposed to.
Unless you're saying True is playing with stretched res, which allowed his camera angle to widen to the point where he could get blinded there, in which case it's kind of his own fault.
1 -
Which is cheating.
5 -
Pretty sure that's not stretched res, just the scene geometry being really bad (a visual obstacle in the form of a window that is partially ajar not counting as an obstacle for e.g. flashlights).
Would probably be easy for people to test tbh.

Like that one Hag game, hmm.
1 -
Why do you feel the need to be so condensing? The game is survivor sided. Killers and survivors agree. What hill are you trying to die on?
4 -
Lol no. The game is SWF sided. "Killers and survivors agree", yea maybe in your little echo chamber.
3 -
When did i ever mention solo survivors? I guess my echo chamber being here, twitter, twitch, reddit is little. Sure Jan!

facts
1 -
Yeah, this would be a really nice quality of life feature to have. When I realize I'm against a team like this, or they're all god loopers that have 5k hours and the map memorized, I just AFK and stare at the wall or sky and go do something else until they go back to their 10 minute queue
1 -
We all know that reddit, twitter and the forums are really great for information, "sure jan"

I get people not wanting to bring lightborne but like cmon perks to counters perks isn't new nor is it going anywhere. If you don't want lightborne bring franklins. If you dont like small game bring counter force.
0 -
It's funny isnt it? Killers think it's ok to tell survivors to bring perks to counter this or that, but when you tell them to bring lightborn they get all up and arms how "i shouldnt need something to counter an item". Like, the solution is right in front of their eyes but they'd rather have a victim complex and scream "this and that op" than use the counters.
2 -
Your correct on that front. Good information can be found all over the place. Glad we could agree!
2 -
Clearly you didn't pick up on obvious sarcasm, but it was sarcasm. I hope you can pick it up now that I said it directly.
2 -
I don’t like small game I think it sucks, I run detectives hunch😎
1 -
O i most certainly did! I just don't care for your dismissive and condescending attitude towards anyone with an opposing OPINION. Byeeeee
6 -
O duh i forgot about that one. Should i swap them?
2 -
I hate dealing with body blocking teams that forced me to go to another hook if they sabotage it. I use iron grasp now and is it great? No, but it has bailed me out plenty of times and It has helped me out so much. I do need star stuck tho.
2 -
Yep. These threads make me giggle when I seem them. 😆
3 -
If you can yes. Small game helps with totems, detectives hunch helps with totems gens and chests. More upside. Plus if you pair it with a green map, it’s basically like a Rainbow map where you see everything. I like perk
3 -
Yea f small game! Thank you
2 -
It's comedy central on these forums daily.
4 -
For body block teams, starstruck and madgrit are absolutely amazing together. If you want a full carrying build I'd use agitation, mad grit, starstruck and iron grasp.
2 -
I think this is largely true for a lot of players,
I have no problem with the "gen rush" outcome because often its fast and its over quickly. Yeah I'm out matched but I don't have to spend an extra 10mins in game waiting for players like this to get their fill and move on.
There is a point where this stops being fun and starts being annoying. The threshold for that point is different for everyone but it is there.
I felt agitated watching that after about the 10-12 min mark because I knew if that was me in game it would probably drag out for another 10mins while survivors switched from playing to trolling. (This is an assumption but experience tells me its a valid one).
Its one thing to dominate a game, its another to just continually rub it in the face of your opponent while not working toward your objective, it gets tedious after a while.
When I'm in that situation as survivor I tend to power out the last gen and open the gates and leave because this game is over lets move on. I don't want to drag out a game against a weak killer, I want to flee from a strong killer who's scary.
As killer I would have hard camped the second hook, not because I'm upset or they deserve it, they are just having fun, but at 1 gen left the only way to reset this game is to change how its played. Chases are really ineffective and the locker blind tech is so broken at that point you can't rely on chases here.
When chasing becomes worthless you camp and force hook exchanges. This is how camping can be a strategy and is the right play in this scenario. Even if you get a down you'll have to chase away the flashlight saver and they'll pick your down up so quickly it won't matter anyway, which happened over and over in this game.
Camping often really upsets a group like this and makes them make bad plays because they get angry, it also kind of telegraphs to the team that you are done and they will often either screw up and all die or power out that last gen and leave. Either way that's the goal on my end to bring the game to a close.
One of the big problems is with the current MMR is you can have 4-5 games like this in a row which kinda hits my threshold for enjoyment and makes me stop playing for the evening. Especially when its combined with a perpetual stream of vitriolic, nasty and childish post game abuse.
1 -
I can’t with the full carry build because then I’ll get destroyed. I use ruin, surge and lethal purser and it’s good enough along with iron grasp. I make a ton of mistakes but it’s fine I just have to get better with my demo puppy. Last 4 matches 4k, 3k, 3k, 3k I gave hatch to the last 2 survivors. But yes I do find it funny when they tell you to run something to counter something else
1 -
It’s just not good honestly if you want to run a full totem build then yeah it’s fine but detectives hunch just does more. And if the last gen pops and some one gets hit with noed immediately, you see the totems and get it out easily
1 -
It really is. Gotta love these forums 😆

Streamer loses one singular match and that makes the game survivor sided… lol
But it’s totally fine when they 4k every match
7 -
This streamer doesn't 4k every match lol, that's ridiculous. I watch a decent amount of his content and lots of his 2ks and 3ks are just hook trades in the EGC when the survivors could have just left and left him with 1k
1 -
This game was never meant to be fair. For any side. It’ll NEVER be fair. Ever. So stop asking to balance this friggin game. That’s why it sucks now.
Survivors will annoy the **** out the killer to make them tunnel and mess up. Killers must get inside the survivors head. Tunnel when necessary. Camp when necessary. It’s all strategic. When you play dirty the entity double pips every time. Hit them in the hook. Make them salty so their friends risk the save, and snowball. Etc.
STOP.PLAYING.NICELY. 😂

Don't remember seeing these people saying anything when Otz was doing those 50 win streaks
4 -
Those 50 win streaks were pre-MMR.
A big reason why MMR sucks is having every single match be against hackers, bully squads, or just very high skilled survivors. There's no breaks from it. The only reprieve is during very high survivor queue time hours like on Friday and Saturday nights. I get matched with less skilled survivors during those hours because their queues are so long. It's nice to have a chill out, relaxing match that's a win instead of frustration, cheating, and bullying every single game.
2 -
Was just about to post the same thing until I seen your post. Yeah, where were these people? I guess it's fine when killers stomp survivors every game.
1 -
If you're always going against high skilled survivors and hackers, you'll keep on losing games, which is supposed to lower your MMR. There, now you have potatoes, enjoy.
2 -
If only it adjusted that fast lol. Ask any of the streamers that admitted to privately trying to throw their MMR off stream. It took forever to get to potato levels and then after a couple wins they were right back against high MMR squads

i'm against that cheating

otz plays against bad survivors at nights

If this is why killers call the game survivor-sided, can survivors use all the matches in which tru3 dominates with multiple gens left standing to say the game is killer-sided? I have actually taken stats on him more than once, and he averages well above 50% kill and win rates (more toward 70%), even with MMR in place. What gives?
With regards to this match specifically, the most remarkable thing in it is that of the few things Legion can do, hard-countering this locker circus is one of them, and that yet, tru3 as a killer main veteran with years and thousands of hours of experience has next to no clue what to do. One doesn't even have to consider any of the various other mistakes there certainly were being made here, it suffices to look at the fact that he finds no solution to people jumping into lockers despite Legion having an obvious means of dealing with this inherent to their ability: survivors afflicted by the Deep Wound status effect bleed out if they are inside a locker, upon which they will automatically jump out of the locker and enter the dying state.
I'm sorry if this will upset any of his fans, and I don't mean any offense to tru3, but I just don't think he is a very good player. He's solid, fairly solidly above average, but he's not outstanding... by much of any stretch. The fact that he can have as high win/kill rates as he does if anything goes to show how favourable a place for killer players this game is, how rewarded experience and skills even just anywhere above average are. And this is especially true when considering that he wants to play for a goal of getting many hooks, while tunnelling, camping and slugging are objectively the most effective killing strategies. That he to an extent wants to avoid those strategies is something that I respect and appreciate about him, not least because I do so myself, and if I were to watch him, that would be a major reason why his gameplay is more interesting to me. But yeah, it is not "optimal" killer gameplay in terms of getting as many kills as possible as consistently as possible, and so while it is more fun and engaging to play as and against and also to watch, it does not make for good arguments about the game being survivor-sided, and rather more goes to show to the opposite, as again, he still wins decidedly more often than he loses despite not playing "optimally".
