Would you increas BBQ and Chili duration?
BBQ and Chili is a very good perk for bloodpoints. But its aura reading ability has a lot of restrictions, and doesn't last that very long either. I'm thinking that you could increase the aura reading ability to six seconds instead of four... and that aspect would be godlike.
What's your thoughts?

I think it's fine the way it is.
A lot of killers run it for a reason and I don't think a buff is necessary. Specific killers can already utilize the information really well i.e Blight, Nurse, Spirit, Billy, etc.

I think it could be improved a bit without ended up being op... because four seconds is very short to be honest.

If something got changed about the duration then it should be based on the distance (the further away from the hook the longer your aura is read)
that said. No. It already is in a place where it’s highly viable on already strong killers (high mobility) and shouldn’t be made stronger for those.

Regardless of the reasons people run it, BBQ and Chili is already a very popular perk, it doesn’t need a buff.
On a related note I did a poll a while back which got a decent response which asked if players would still run BBQ and Chili if it had no bloodpoint bonus and was just the aura. The answers split 50/50, about half the respondents saying they would continue using the perk even if the bloodpoint bonus was removed and half not. In other words half the people who use it don’t even care about the bloodpoints at all, they think the aura is good enough to make it a worthwhile perk. So why would it need a significant boost on the aura?

Yes
Because on any perk list they always say BBQ is good for bloodpoints, but the aura-reading aspect of it is "meh".

Well like I said, half the people polled said they use it just for the aura alone already.

Between what they say and what they'll do... there might be a gap. Especially when better info perks (Tinkerer/ Thrilling tremors/ Surveillance etc.) would be even more interesting to use then (if you remove the blood point bonus from the equation).

It's fine the way it is, but I can't say I wouldn't appreciate just an extra second or two to get my bearings and look around a bit more.

Other detection perks outclass BBQ greatly, all BBQ really has going for it is that it essentially halves the grind.
Which is nice(but shouldnt be nessecary in the first place), but thats not something that actually does anything to help the Killer in-match.
