Operation health and
The opinion on the argument:
”Well, the bhvr wont do it as its not going to bring money.”
Why and from where you get idea?
I with optimism see it as bigger money maker rather then just with dlc.
Content creators, bhvr itself can promote new game with new super duper mechanics, which can intrigue people who already quit to return and new players willing to try. In other word, a spike in active player base. Which again leads to old players buying missing dlcs and same goes for new comers.
And if the operation healthcare is actually successful as again…its the point of it, newer dlc/cosmetics will be sold in bigger quantity.

Yes, everything that raises player satisfaction is good for the longer term. More happy players more recommendation, more sales...

It's not just a health patch to fix stupid issues like how dead hard currently works (it really sucks from a killers perspective) or the many bugs that need to be fixed. The devs need to improve core mechanics and better balance the game without band-aid fixing everything with perks. Maps and loops need to be improved and equally fair for both sides.
New mechanics need to be introduced to keep the game fresh and interesting, which is why the snowmen were fun. It was something new and took away from the monotony of the game. Things like icy floors that cause the character to slide around, mud that slows one down, lava that can damage you if you don't watch where you step, water that you can hide in for short periods of time until your breath runs out and so on should be brought into the game. Solutions to gen rushing and face camping also need to be implemented into the core game as well.

Yes. I am not talking about minor fixes.
But rather then dbd core v2.0;
(new) mechanics, maps and design. Shorter safe loops, dynamic chases, etc.

In the past few years that I've played the game, I've yet to see BHVR put out a real health chapter. I certainly wouldn't get my hopes that BHVR will ever tackle it.
If anything the game runs worse on my computer than it did when I first played it. A few maps give me some frame drops since the realm reworks.

It's not that I think they won't do it, it's just that I'm skeptical of the idea of it. I played R6S during its Operation Health and, uh, that wasn't exactly a fun time.

i know. but, you cannot deny the afterwards improvement on game ;)

Sure you can, R6S was arguably worse after operation health.

Why? Asking because I never played that game, and being curious.

I'd agree that in the best interest of the game, BHVR would be wise to invest in a health chapter and it would pay off immensely for them.
However, for some reason, I don't think BHVR agrees. Whether it's because they just want the short sighted profits, can't do it (as it's pretty well established the game has spaghetti code being held together with the hopes and prayers of children), they think the game is going to go down sooner rather than later anyway (so why invest a bunch of time and money into something that won't survive) or some other reason, BHVR seems to have no real desire to fix all the issues this game has going for it.

If they were thinking the game was dying or not enough profitable, I don't think we would have more licenses. And we know the next chapter is gonna be one. And we had two recently.
Maybe it'd take too much time/energy to do some health chapter because of the code, as you said. It'd probably be like redoing the whole game.
But I'm all for a healthy chapter.

At the risk of going off-topic, I am admittedly curious to hear how.

Ehhhhhh, it depends
I'm not going to pretend like I have access to BHVRs financial records or any special insight here but I imagine Licensed Killers make a LOT of the money in those first few weeks. Like...sure, having Licensed Killers is a good marketing thing for your new players coming in now but I imagine that a good 70% of the sales for the Licensed ones are within the first few weeks of play.
Obviously I could be wrong but it wouldn't shock me if at least BHVR made most of their money on those deals in that initial wave of purchase and stuff after with new players is just gravy.

Health patch huh? Back in March 2019 they set a goal of 60fps minimum for all platforms. Ever since that announcement not so much as a peep. Complete radio silence then till now.
I would very much like an update on this goal, something that would truely benefit us all.

The whole dev team has gone silent too I remember when Pat, McLean, Almo and NotQueen would come to the forums but now it’s so quiet

Sorry but this is the part where I reveal that this wasn't like, 5 years ago and I remember 0 actual details and only my impressions of how things played out.

We're partly to blame for that, given our behavior towards them at times.

BHVR is gonna argument they have a specific team to deal with dbd malfunctions, so no need to waste a whole chapter for health issues…
