How I get dc penalty if the killer dced

So I'm playing a match and the game freezes I'm still hearing noise and soon I get a disconnected from host I got to the point screen the killer has the Disconnected symbol but I get a dc penalty. Plus I got BP from the match.

    Sounds more like you DCed. I remember that at least at some point it looked like the Killer DCed, even if you disconnected.

    Might have happened here.
