Ghostface vs The Shape

I’ve always been stuck between the two. Honestly, which is better? This is how is plays out in my head:

Ok, there are 4 survivors in the same area. Myers is Tier II, Ghostface has zero exposed on anyone. Myers could 4K them all because it isn’t one individual character exposed (i’m not sure if Ghostface can stalk more than one person at a time). So what do you guys think. Please tell me!

    Ghostface.

Ghostface has a better time snowballing early with some good 99'd stalks but unless you get a good map you'll likely struggle to do much since Ghostface can't force end loops quickly.

Myers has some really strong addons and can snowball in the mid game. Unlike Ghostface, Myers has some ability to force chases with faster vault and longer lunge but often that just causes survivors to throw pallets earlier.

I think they are fairly similar in power discounting addons.

Myers is better. Ghostface is probably the worst killer in the game

Not fan of either but if I had to choose between them I'd go Myers.

Myers: Less janky, more consistent. Way more interesting and better addons. Slightly lower power ceiling.

Ghostface: Janky, can be streaky. Really meh addons. Slightly stronger in the hands of a skilled killer.

    Mikey 100%.

Michael is a lot more versatile with builds. He has much better and stronger add ons than Ghostface, too. Add ons that can literally change his whole play style.

He can't be robbed of his power just by looking at him (that's when Ghostface's reveal actually works the way its supposed to). I've actually been in games where Ghostface didn't get to mark a single person because he was constantly being revealed (even by people hanging from the hook when he's trying to stealth camp lol). You can actually make him a powerless killer from the get-go.

Its no wonder they're looking at Ghostface next along with the Legion. They both badly need help.

GF can stalk/expose multiple survivors at a time, Shape cannot despite the stalk aura saying otherwise but T3 hits everyone equally.

GF is better at unpredictable snowballs, Shape is better at consistency.

    Ghostface is stronger IMO.

-He moves at 115% all game, without having to earn it, Myers does not.

-He can get a very early insta-down to survivors lacking awareness, Myers cannot.

-He can stalk multiple people at once, Myers cannot

-He stalks at the same rate regardless of distance…Myers stalk speed is based on how close you are to the survivors

-Ghostface doesn’t have a stalk limit, Myers does…meaning the game can eventually get to the point where Myers has NO POWER.

I could go on and on. I love you Mikey…but you’re definitely no Ghostface.

I have a lot more fun with Ghost face since he can be sneaky and even t-bag the survivors. Myers just stands there and stares so I find him one of the most boring killers to play as.

I play both a lot and prefer Ghostface against stronger survivors as they tend to be better about kiting when they hear your radius and better at running loops which you can mask.

Against normal survivors, extended lunge and slug/well timed face camp go brr.

Myers. His add-ons put GF's to shame. Amongst other things people already explained.

Outside of T3 Myers essentially always has no TR, GF is periodic.

Myers can stalk in the survivors face, GF gets countered just by looking at him.

Both suck at loops but at least Myers has extended lunge and faster vault in T3.

"(i’m not sure if Ghostface can stalk more than one person at a time)"

    I'm pretty sure he can.

If you have good control and understanding over Ghostface's reveal mechanic then he wins flat out and the reason for that is unlike Myers, Ghostface will never run out of his power. Without addons a Myers will get a maximum amount of 7 tier 3s. Now don't get me wrong, you can do a lot of crazy damage if survivors aren't playing safely, but if they stealth out your tier 3s and you lose pressure then its all downhill from there.

Myers has the weaker early game due to tier 1.

Depending on your ability to get multiple stalks around 75-99%, Ghostface has the more controlled mid game.

Assuming Myers still has stalk left to get, they both have high lethality suited for end game.

The only thing Myers really beats Ghostface in is his ability to stalk on demand. This unique mechanic causes a killer to lose collision entirely, allowing for them to pass through body blocking survivors.

Looking up keeps you in passive stalk, just tap it to merge with a survivor and then release. Since the killer model takes priority over a survivor, the survivor will end up pushed out of your way. If you do it successfully it will be behind or to the side.

Though in trade, Ghostface's stalking is not affected by distance like Myers is, and he can stalk multiple survivors at once, unlike Myers who will stalk the closest survivor first.

And since Ghostface's stalking is dependent on his nightshroud you will have to decide between utility or lethality in some cases.

Honestly they are both pretty bad but Ghostface gets the edge over Myers imo

They aren't great, but imo Michael is a bit better with the right addons. Also way more fun.

I think Myers is better because he can 99% the instadown on the weaker links and use it against the strong looper after surprising him with his small TR to end a chase in 10 seconds instead of 100 while Ghostface has to stalk the strong player to be able to instadown him which may alert him, plus if somebody reveals him he either has to wait for the power to recharge or start a chase, hit and lose all stalk.

Imo the only thing Ghostface has over Myers is he is short and harder to detect and his stalk is consistent, it always takes the same amount of time instead of being distance dependant.

Ghostface might be better for grabs and sneaky stuff around corners, (not counting jumpscare Myers) but he just doesn't have the same... presence as Myers. It was always funny watching people freak out when that Tier 3 music hits. XD

Ghostface. He's better at stealth and he can stalk multiple survivors, unlike Myers.

Myers is much better - addons make it.

You have 2 strong builds, either using iris, stalk to t3 and mori them all.

    Or stealthy with wall hack

    • Vanity mirror
    • Dead Rabbit
    • Monitor and Abuse
    • Save the best for last
    • Corrupt intervention/Brutal strength
    • No Way Out

Scare jumps guarantee. They have no idea most time where you are

Both have their pros and cons and it depends on your gameplay.

Myers is better at snowballing the entire team and getting downs quicker because of faster vaulting and a longer lunge in T3. Although he is worse at stealth because of the slower movement speed and short lunge in T1. Not to mention limited stalk whilst GF has unlimited stalk.

Ghostface is better at being sneaky and has unlimited stalk on people but can’t capitalize as well as Myers because of being a typical killer who has nothing that he can do at strong tiles whilst Myers has the fast vault/linger lunge.

Both are underwhelming but it depends on the playstyle. At their absolute strongest, Myers is better because of his stronger add-ons.

i used to think ghostface was better but ghostface has almost no power against a genuine good team without an indoor map. myers is also hot trash in that scenario, but at least his power isn't solely reliant on stealth and is very effective for camping with a 99 tier 3.
