Freddy is kinda fun
Well. I finally decided to buy this low teer killer and...He is fun enough to play. No really. Despite I don't know how to use traps efficiently, his dream pallets are really satisfying to use.
So I'd like to ask more experienced players what builds, add-ons,and strategies you use while playing him.

For builds slowdown is your go to. Pop or ruin synergies well with his teleport and bbq so you can find high gen to go to
His add ons are all trash don bother with them
He’s pretty basic in terms of strategy. One neat thing to try is to teleport mid chase to cut a survivor off. Very rare but satisfying when it works

Freddy is my most hated Killer to play as. His puddles don't do anything, Pallets are useless aswell, his teleport is weak on it's own, Freddy is just a Perk reliant, weak mess with useless Add-ons

I like running Endfury on him with Pallets mixed with blindness addons. It can get to a point that survivors think real pallets are fake when Spirit Fury triggers lol.

My build is usually pallets (because they're more fun) + anything that isn't Kid's Drawing, if I use a second add-on at all. Pop Goes The Weasel, Surge (Jolt), Save The Best for Last, and BBQ.

To be optimal, you will have to juggle gens with your build and teleport while you deplete resources in chases that you're going to not commit to in order to prevent gen pops. Against good survivors, it's going to be a war of attrition where you snowball late game. You're also going to make a lot of fake teleports (more on why later as I go over the builds).
When you're at a loop, you put a snare behind you as you moonwalk following the survivor. The snare should be preferably on the opposite end of the loop from the pallet. But don't delay putting one down to find the perfect spot, you want that pallet down asap. If they loop, they run into the snare and they'll get hit. The counter to him is to pre-drop and hold W. For windows, don't put the snare too close, or it won't prevent a fast vault. At maze tiles, put a snare on the normal pathing, generally at bottlenecks. You can also use your teleport to cut off a shift w gamer, or bait it to make them run back into you.
Perks: ruin (essential), surveillance or tinkerer (essential, preferably the former, where the former is sort of a inferior version).
Then, choose from: undying, haunted, brutal, or something endgame like no way out.
Remember that survivors can't crouch over snares, so you can put them down at totems to alert you of cleansing.
I said you're going to fake teleport a lot, even in chase. Be sure to 99 the fake. This will push survivors off the gen triggering ruin and surveillance giving you intel on gen progress and to where you have to rotate to. It also gets them on their toes because they might overcommit when you do actually tp.
Add-ons: the best ones are the dream protection cooldown, optional with the paint brush, because you want to teleport often. The pill bottle is kinda decent because it gives you some stealth for cheeky hits. Extra regression penalty is ok-ish but not great, it gets them if they try to wake themselves up by failing skill checks, which could happen also unintentionally when you teleport.
Dream pallets: use only for memes.
For the rest, his ability is not that great in chase. It allows him to kinda brute force through pallets, which is what you want to do, but it doesn't cut the chase short. You're really going to have to play the macro game against good survivors.
