So why are there 5 variations of Badham?

Genuine question.

It seems like if I don't get one of the main 3 realms (Coldwind, Autohaven, McMillan) then I end up getting one of the 5 Badham maps. It doesn't help that Badham is really unbalanced. There really isn't any need for 5 variations of this awful map.

They gave a reasoning back in the day, and if I remember correctly it was because its kind of a way around the license agreement. They probably wanted to make more maps for Springwood but couldn't. What they could do how ever, is make multiple variations of Badham.

Im pretty sure this was around the 3rd year anniversary stream, when they were showing off the Freddy Rework

The actual reason why is that the original Badham Preschool (now Badham 1) was not adequately randomised. The streets and buildings were in the same position every time, unlike Haddonfield, which went against the game's whole concept at the time of the maps never being the exact same every match.

Because the way the map was built didn't allow for that kind of customization, they resolved it by creating the other four versions, then reducing the likelihood of selection for all five maps so that, when combined, you were as likely to go to Springwood as any other single map realm. It's just bad luck on your part.

Badham 4 is the worst map in the game

Aren't pretty much all the maps that static, though? Rubble and pallet placement varies, and you'll have things like Autohaven where a different vehicle may be generated at a certain location, or Haddonfield where the three non-Myers houses swap places, but for the most part, buildings and jungle gyms are generated at the same positions every time. Badham stands out to me because actually rotating its layout is something that no other map does.

Can we just get rid of like 99 of the badham maps and leave one

Because BHVR want to have 5 forms of torture for the killer in a single realm, they think "Ok, they will have a very hard time, so at least with 5 variations that torture doesn't feel so monotonous".

Bruh, Badham is the most survivor sided map in the game along with Haddonfield and Gideon.

The sad thing is that Badham is the only map that changes it basic layout. This randomness is actualy kinda cool when you think about it. Yet this map spawns with some of the most horrible structures imaginable, has some of the worst loops ever and does not feel fresh.

This is a damn shame because the idea of a map that changes its whole shape is pretty good...

I still play Haddonfield over Badham...

Lol nope. Its basically just another Haddonfield but a little weaker.
