Any news on performance patches? Especially for last gen consoles?
I mean the game has ran like ######### ever since I believe the Twins chapter, maybe longer. The game use to run well on ps4 pro and "okay" on base ps4. I'm sure the same is true for xbox and even more so for switch. I play on the ps5 and that is smooth for now but it makes me worried that one day a big patch will come out and ruin the game as far as performance and the devs will never fix it. My wife plays on my old ps4 pro and she has an awful time. To be honest I would of stopped playing this game a year ago if I didn't luck out and get a ps5 as the performance is so bad. It's really disheartening that these issues have remained for so long with very few improvements.

The only thing they need to do is fix the damn FPS drops (e.g survivors getting hooked/unhooked,Franklins etc.) and i would already be super happy at this point

The ptb patch notes will apparently have more stuff that wasn't included in the 2 part dev notes. Will need to wait and see tomorrow if they include any performance updates in those.

Not a peep since 2019 (or maybe it was 2018) I believe it was when they said they would do something about it.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for console optimisation, atleast not for a few years.

The improvements to the issues that have been faced on consoles are ongoing. It's not something that's just been ignored and left. It was also addressed in our last Q&A.
