If these are the only Nemesis changes, then that'll be pretty disappointing
I was extremely disappointed upon seeing the Nemesis add-on changes listed in the dev update. He's nowhere near oppressive enough to warrant a nerf. Two of them got unnecessary nerfs and the others still don't look that good.
- Iridescent Umbrella Badge sounds good until you take into account travel time since Nemesis just moves like a normal M1 Killer and that this probably won't include hits from his tentacle.
- Shattered STARS Badge relies on the zombies, who have horrendous AI. That 150% speed is useless if they're just running into a tree. This is probably the best change on here since the zombies will be really fast, especially if you combine it with Mikhail's Eye.
- Marvin's Blood... I'm shocked but at the same time I was expecting something like this to happen. Marvin's Blood is one of his only good add-ons because it means players get access to the fun part of his power faster. Most of his other add-ons currently suck (especially Licker Tongue, that's basically wasting 5000 BP), so instead of buffing them you guys nerf one of his only good ones without any kind of compensation? No, that's really bad game design right there. You don't nerf something that isn't OP or unfun to play against just because it's popular. You try to see why it's so popular (this case being that most of his other add-ons SUCK and his base kit isn't amazing either) and see what you can do to make the other add-ons more appealing since almost none of them are right now.
- Mikhail's Eye is in a similar situation. One of his few good add-ons nerfed because it's popular instead of buffing the others. Unlike Marvin's Blood, I can see a possible reason for this nerf being that combining this with Shattered STARS Badge for 200% zombie movement speed was actually too much, but I doubt that's what happened.
I am really hoping that the PTB brings us more Nemesis changes that justify the nerfs. Otherwise Nemesis just got nerfed for no good reason.

I wish nemes iri addons would change zombies into lickers with the increased move speed theyd bring. zombies down the line are more a distraction and dont often do enough against smart survivors

I doubt they nerfed it because of Mikhail's Eye + STARS Badge; considering you can just use the ink ribbon to get the 200% speed.

The zombies are the part of Nemesis I like the idea of, hopefully someday they’ll get a bit smarter and faster so they feel more like a threat. But even now when I play Nemesis I do like them as survivor radars. I see a zombie chasing someone, head over, try and coral the survivor toward the zombie if possible, and after the chase ends I whip the zombie to gain infection and get it to respawn elsewhere to maybe help keep the survivors on their toes wondering where zombies might be.
The whip seems mainly good for breaking pallets honestly, not quite as good at doing damage since it basically takes an extra hit usually. Honestly if it weren’t for the zombies I wouldn’t care about Nemesis at all other than he has an intimidating look.

Don't get your hopes up. The devs of this video game are something else.

What were they thinking with these add-on nerfs? They did it to Twins as well. Trying to distract with one or two buffed add-ons so we don't pay attention to these BS nerfs.

The iri addon buff is so trash, wow I’m going to have zombies at 100% for maybe 2-3 minutes. Considering that the first 2 gens are probably going to pop back to back…..

I seriously hope they'll have more changes lined up for his addons too because there's just so many that only need a little extra something to make them so much better. Like Jill's sandwich, just add on a loud noise notification when people begin to open the vaccine chests. Or make Licker's Tongue last for at least half a second. And for the vines, I dunno, just give them an extra 4 seconds on top of the chest opening or something I guess. Like I want to be clear, I don't like having to rely on Marvin's blood so much but there has to be some kinda compromise here like giving Nemesis just a little extra infection basekit or giving you half the infection points whenever zombies infect/attack someone. Just something like that would make him nicer to play.

The thing I was hoping for was an improvement to the zombie AI so they don't get stuck or just stand still in the middle of nowhere for ages.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting them to do anything. I'd have been surprised if he gotten some kind of compensation for the Marvin's Blood nerf.
Unsurprisingly they didn't give Nemesis any more changes. No compensation at all for Marvin's Blood. There's still the chance that the devs could do something when the patch goes to the live build but I doubt it. The devs seem determined to nerf some of his only good add-ons just because people like using them (which makes sense considering there's not much else he can use).

I can understand the Marvin's blood nerf, that addon was too good for being a yellow one. But the nerf to the increased speed addon for zombies is a non-sense, that addon doesn't felt broken in any moment and served as a little compensation for the zombies getting bugged against rock, trees, walls, etc so frequently.

I also do not understand this.
Nemesis has trouble getting to T3 anyway and T2 is taking quit some time. Marvins Blood was very essential for him to be consistent and they are nerfing that while buffing his zombies.
I like the zombies and their are a cool ability. However their AI is still braindead and their attacks are too slow to be meaningful. The zombie add-ons are a meme right now and will not help you that much anyway and now they are nerfing one of them? Sounds strange to me for sure...
Nemesis should get more interesting add-ons for sure. Maybe even some related to his Zombies of his infection.

How even impactful is the Marvin blood nerf? I know it takes two unique tentacle hits to get to tier 2 with it currently

Yeah,i was disappointed by the Nemesis changes aswell.
Only nerfs to his decent addons and no real compensation :/

If the rarity is an issue then why not increase it? Just switch its rarity with something like Licker Tongue. I think everyone would have preferred that instead of a numbers nerf.
From what I'm reading you can't get to tier 2 within the first chase anymore. It might not sound like a big deal at first, but considering how much Nemesis already has going against him and how important the early game can be as Killer, it can hurt him pretty badly.

Current Marvin's blood would get you Tier II on your second hit while the new one you won't get Tier II until you down the survivor since it takes three hits now. So you can get it in the first chase still but the huge difference is that you can't get Tier II in the middle of your first chase anymore, only when you end it assuming you stick onto that one person. They really should just think about shaving a couple of points off the requirement to get Tier III because playing without Marvin's blood really shows how agonizingly long it takes sometimes just to even get there.

I actually would love that decision but lets take it one step further why not have it where either the purple or iri addons change the zombies to something that would give much more pressure such as zombie dogs, lickers hell maybe even have one that changes them to slow but strong tyrants.

The change Nemesis actually needs is to have his zombies gain the ability to move through obstacles if they're stationary for more than 2 seconds, to stop them from getting caught up in geometry and just stop working for the rest of the match.
If Zombies actually WORKED, he'd be much better. But only on smaller stages, of course. Because the DbD spaghetti code exploded under the weight of more than 2, despite some stages being 6x the size of others.
