Can we get auric cells instead of iri shards for compensation?
I think it would make more sense to give us money that can buy Leatherfaces other cosmetics instead of iri shards.

Yes, I agree. I think a monetary contribution toward ending racism would show everyone how serious BHVR is about tackling this issue

It doesn't make any sense to be given money for losing something that was free. That makes no sense. They're paying us back using currency that you earn through playtime, which is how you get the cosmetics.

What did you pay to get those masks? Playtime.
Guess what currency you can only get exclusively through playtime? Iridescent Shards.

I disagree. Bubba is my fav character and I put a lot of time into getting those masks. I'd like to buy his other cosmetics.

You did not spend any Auric Cells on those masks. That's a fact. Why would they give you premium compensation for the removal of something you got for free?
6,000 Iridescent Shards is the equivalent of several dozen hours of playtime. That's more than enough for the removal of cosmetics that you didn't pay anything for but time.

If you want Bubba cosmetics that you can earn, there's always the prestige option. You didn't pay for the masks for the survivors, so it makes no sense you would get actual money based currency for them.

can we do extremely hard challenges and get like, 10 auric cells for killing all 4 survivors by hand in one game or something?

That's not how it works. You can't expect a company to gift you money just because they decided to discontinue a product. They are giving you the closest thing to an equivalent currency.

The number of shards is debatable, but asking for gifted money in exchange for a free item (what this thread is about according to OP) shouldn't be.

Auric cells are not money. They are a premium currency, but there is no way to translate them into money in any way. They give us cells in every battle pass, nobody makes money from that.
All OP wants is to be refunded with a currency that can actually replace the cosmetic being lost.

Nobody is hurt by getting Auric cells so they can buy different Leatherface cosmetics. It's kinda weird that people want less compensation for whatever reason. Take the free stuff being offered, dang son.
Who knows free Auric could get some new licensed killers on the Vs. list. We've got a wide variety of slashers you can get with Iri shards sure but who wouldn't want more Myers in their life?

Generally speaking shards is fine as a form of compensation but in this scenario I do kinda think cells make more sense. If a bubba main doesn't want the default mask it's not exactly like shards are going to get him a new one and I don't think throwing people 400 cells for a replacement mask would be a major deal.

They would need to lock those auric cells to Leatherface cosmetics or even just replace the deleted head cosmetics with a free nee one.
And most importantly, who cares about killer cosmetics? You can't even see what you bought yourself and LF head cosmetics aren't even really fancy or overly noticable (but admittingly one of the most in line with it's franchise).

But people might have spent auric cells on bubba because of the mask feature. Yes, i think that might only be for a minority, but it still might be.

Were the unlockable mask added days, weeks, or months after the release of Leatherface? If so they were free
If they came with it, you payed for them and the extra gameplay that the masks added. They were not free.
Removing the masks was the correct choice, but they are still removing something you payed for.

The character only costs like 500 auric cells. They’re not going to give us 1600 for owning the character.
Also common character items are only worth like 100 iridescent shards. 6000 for not even unlocking them is overpayment.

You will never get auric cells ever because this is real money.
You could buy licensed stuff with it where they actually have to pay the license holder.
Iris and BP are their own stuff and they could give you a million and it would not cost them anything.

People saying you didn't pay for those masks, are actually wrong.
People who bought the DLC, bought it for all the content it provides, and it also provided the masks.

They can change (or take away) whatever they want - welcome to the great online world. You agreed in the TOS.
This also is for every company you bought digital goods from.
If Sony/Apple/Amazon would go bankrupt all your music/movies/games and stuff would be gone.
Will hopefully never happen but that is the big downside of the digital age.
