Can I really get in trouble for "teaming" with a survivor?
So I yesterday I gathered some motivation to play a few rounds again cause thanks to the shrine I got ruin and ud and reading the forum I was trying to generally have a better mindset and don't try to win but just enjoy my games.
Every was nice and fun till I faced an obvious three man swf. Normally I dogde them but I thought new mindset new rules. It was your typical flashlite party and I struggled a bit after one of the found there end and one was on the ground with the third so close that I had to ignore that one the last swf guy really tryed to get me on the solo Jill he stopped and pointed at a locker so I knew what he wanted but I downed him and she came out expecting me to down her to but I didn't cause I hate that stuff. So the thing is Jill wasn't even hiding all game she was on her last hook she did well that game even healed the guy I left on the ground and unhooked the guy after he tryed to sell her so from that moment Jill I decider Jill was free to do what she want she is going to escape. So after I managed to kill one of the other guys and had the last guy on hook she opened the doors came to the hook. I was saying no so she said goodbay and left. After the game the rage was hard in chat and the swf guys said I can get banned for teaming up with survivors and they are reporting me.
So is that true is it forbidden to have mercy on some survs or are they just salty a holes. (sorry long post)

I wouldn't call that teaming with a survivor. If that survivor was communicating with you or going around taking you to other survivors or body blocking the other survivors so you could get easier hits, that would be teaming.
You will not get in trouble for letting a survivor go.

Yes, teaming with the survivor can get you banned, but I don’t think that’s what happened here. The Jill didn’t go around and show you were her teammates were, not did she actively try to hinder them while you were chasing them. You just gave her the option of leaving alive or risk dying if she went for the save. I don’t consider that working with each other.

Okey that's good I was worried I can't be nice to survivors anymore I like to be nice if they are to or if they get screwed by there teammates

If your recollection of the trial is accurate, you DIDN'T team with the Jill.
So, still assuming your story is precise, you broke NO rules whatsoever.
You have full agency to decide which survivors to kill, in what order and even who to spare, as long as you're not collaborating with one survivor to target other survivors. The Jill also has no obligation to be altruistic, even more so with you right there at the hook.
If anything, the guy who pointed at the Jill in the locker tried to team with you (and you wisely declined). So, if you accepted the hint and killed the Jill and spared the other one, that's where you'd run into troubles. And yes, there were people who actually did that, then came here on the forum complaining they got banned.
Last word of advice, as a rule of thumb, if one survivor tries to sell another one out, make sure you kill the former and that'll keep you out of trouble. You can also kill both, of course. But don't kill the one who gets ratted out while sparing the other one.

I have a funny story about something like this, because of the rules of the forums I am not allowed to talk about that in specific but the devs do seam to care a lot about "teaming" even and act about that without even any mentioning in the rules to specify that so watch out about that.

Ahh man I am just happy to know I did the right hings from the start ever since I started playing killer it was your own death sentence if you try to sell other survivors cause that happened so often back when I played survivor

What you did? Absolutely fine. A killer is free to let survivors go or to kill everyone. The devs have reaffirmed this time and time again.
What they did? Absolutely not fine. They were actually working with you to try and sandbag the Jill. Report them.

I think you’re okay OP. When I play killer I am personally against ‘snitching’ survivors. If they sellout a hiding teammate, I always hook the snitch then leave for the sellout to unhook lol.

Considering the fact that bhvr removed bubba's masks entirely and completely ignoring the report system, as well as blatant cheaters running rampant, I'd say you're completely safe my man. reporting in this game is just to make you feel better.
