What Killers do you think needs the most and the lowest amount of skill to play at high level?

Considering the survivors also play at a very high level and know how to counter your power.

I would say its Blight or Oni.

Blight because survivors will abuse most tiles and obstacles to counter your rushes and get angles on you that make it hard to get hits for you. Ofc it depends on the map aswell but even Mac Millain can be tought against a good squad. You need a lot of muscle memory to get good angles and know when you want to rush and when not, also knowing when to cancel your rushes or using techs aswell.

Oni is also pretty hard on high level because in these days every team plays with circle of healing OR strong healing builds. With this in mind you have very few blood to work around and its easy to get thrown back to M1 oni like in the early game, you need a good understanding of when, how and how long you wanna stay in the blood fury to manage your blood overall. Also good survivors will make it hard for you to get demon dash hits on most tiles, they can make you waste a lot of blood fury time which again is very tough. As soon as you run out of blood or injured survivors then its basicly game over for you.

In the other hand I would say Hag and Freddy are the easiest Killers. Freddy is pretty obvious, you spam snaires around a loop, zone them and try to blood lust or just mindgame there then. Mostly survivors will just leave the loop and the cycle repeats. On Hag in the other hand you do need to know some planing and strategy, where you want to place your traps, how many at which area of the map. Which area or corner of the map you wanna stick to etc.

However this all doesnt require too much time to get into also once you got into that mind set of a Hag it doesnt take much after that. Hag is also basicly a M1 killer that just places traps, there is no much mechanical skill or muscle memory required that you need to build up slowly.

These are my takes, let me know what you think.

Bubba is pretty much Bamboozle window and they are forced to drop the god pallet in shack or you can do some pretty neat mindgames with him.

    Hardest: Nurse/Blight/Billy

Nurse is hard to pick up, then she's easy against less skilled players, and then you run into players who have a lot of experience against Nurse and it's like you're learning her all over again. Rinse repeat.

Blight takes a lot of mechanical skill and map knowledge.

Billy takes a lot of mechanical skill for curves.

Easiest: Any of your super basic M1s. Take your pick. Freddy/Ghostface/Legion/Myers/Pig/etc. Their ceiling is lower.

I struggle the most with Blight, or Nurse if I don't have her plaid add-on.

Easiest I'm saying is going to be Trapper. You lay down traps. You trap. Very easy.

Ye true but even bubba mains still need to be cautious with the hitboxes on some objects. There are some very dumb things you need to learn and get a feeling for it like sharp corners or random invisible walls like on yamaoka those small wall window loops, those random leaf things on top have also hitboxes so you bump into them. There are many more other things you need to know thats why I wouldnt call bubba one of the easiest killers, well unless you just face camp xD

Well not really. Beeing weak doesnt automaticly mean its hard to do well with a Killer. It also depends on what the power needs you to do and learn. Every single Killer shares the basic M1 Killer gameplay, even nurse to some extend, so what you need to learn on Legion is already required for every other Killer aswell, ontop of that you need to learn their unique power aswell so this makes already most other Killers harder to master.

Hag is actually difficult to play well at really high level because survivors are more aware of how to get around her traps if she’s not careful. It takes some more sophisticated knowledge of how her traps work and game sense to do well with her against good swfs.

I think Pinhead needs to be lumped into high skill cap tier. It’s a lot.

Well then its my fault for wording it wrong, but everyone else took it the way I meant so ye xD. I meant about the power itsself rather then the "win".

Pinhead's gateway requires the highest possible skill cap. Successfully double aim if you want to get something from your power. Even though the reward is not that great like nurse's.

The lowest propably spirit. She has no movement speed cooldown after using the power and can use it like whatever she wants (map traveling, hearing the footsteps in order to catch survivors) One of the most easiest killers to master.

    You are right with both.

However you are also wrong with Spirit. Yes if you look it only in the Spirits point of view her power would be easy to master since there is not much to learn, just use power run fast and catch up. However thats why I seperately mentioned that, against GOOD survivors. If you play against very attentive survivors that can fake and run really well then just hearing and catching up isnt enough to down them as Spirit.

Good survivors can mess up with your tracking really well, do mindgames and spin you pretty easily right before you appear, since you can hear now the spirit in phasewalk they know when you are close enough and can prepare a move to throw you off like changing the direction or run around a obstacle and hide for a second to get an opening to build distance. There are many more moves you can do ofc.

i would say the least skill required would be spirit, literally just have functioning eardrums and you'll do well especially with some of her more cracked addons, most is probably nurse or blight to actually do well with without being perk reliant.

Highest skill floor: Nurse, Blight, Pinhead, Hillbilly

Lowest skill floor: Trapper, Wraith, Freddy, Nemesis

    In my opinion.

sounds like you only play spirit for dailys and get baby survivors who run straight and camp pallets.

Nemesis is rather simple to pick up in my opinion. Tentacle dragging is something that increases the ceiling. But he has the quickest and simplest M2 anti-loop compared to the other "M2 at pallet/window for hit" killers. Shred and Punishment of the Damned (Demogorgon and Pyramid Head respectively) are both slower and have more wind-up, and Deathslinger is harder to play because 110% and can't always hit across pallets. And zombies are usually unreliable garbage, but they can provide some passive pressure if they happen to be near a gen someone is trying to repair that doesn't need any help from the killer.

Keep in mind, my list isn't about how good the killer actually does, it's just about how easy the killer is to play at a minimum level of understanding.

ye but my post is about the killer playing with the top skill level against top survivors.

  • SuzuKR

I mean, you can play Nemesis at high level with little understanding. Will you do well? No. Is he among the easiest to play? I'd say yes.

I don't run spirit at all since I don't have 2 completely functioning ear drums, also cause the games uninstalled but you can also just run the addon that gives killer instinct when you're in range of a survivor and not even have to worry about that.

  • BenZ0
    BenZ0 Member Posts: 4,125

I wouldnt say so, atleast none of my friends do well with him at all xD most of them try the standart whips and miss half of them. I rarely see any nemesis at all that try to hit over obstacles, it seems like hardly anyone knows that its possible.

The addon just tells you that somewhere around you is a survivor, doesnt mean you will hit them guaranteed. I managed to throw off most of the spirits I met nowdays, they cant handle at all if you do spins or other weird mindgames like switching directions last second.

Then you basically ask who is easiest from S and A tier killers, maybe high B.

If you would say only top skill level, then your options are basically Nurse / Blight.

If you would say high skill level, then there might be other options. Problem is that if any of them would be easy to play, they would get nerfed like Freddy, or Wraith. They were not that good, but they were easy, that's why they nerfed them.

What I would say are decent options. Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Hag, Huntress, Plague, Oni, PH, Artist, Twins, Nemesis, Demogorgon.

I am really not sure who is lowest skill, because that is not same as low skill when none of them are that easy, but probably Plague.

Okay cool, happy for you doesn't mean she isn't easy to play at higher levels which was the point of the thread.

You play dbd you should be better at detecting salt then this. Maybe this game has made you over sensitive to it but my comments had zero salt in them

Yes, it's possible to mindgame her with tracking, iron will basically makes spirit to rely on hearing their footsteps in order to track them, BUT if a player is really good with spirit like he's master with her, the survivors only hope is to rely on pallets 50/50 and it must be a really a good loop. Even when hearing her directional phase walk it's very difficult to mindgame against those masters.

Lowest amount: Freddy, Wraith and Bubba.

Highest amount: Blight, Nurse and possibly Plague

It really does depend on what you mean by 'play'.

I'll take that as meaning 'do well on'. Like...3-4k regularly at high MMR.

I'm going to be a bit contrarian here (yeah, big surprise) and say Billy, with Huntress in second place and Nurse in third.

Blight does indeed have some tricky techs, but they aren't 100% required. I'm now seeing 2-3x more Blights than any other killer, and Nurse seems to have fallen behind Huntress now. Nurse can be very tricky, especially since people at high MMR know how to play against her inside and out.

Oni is a good choice too.

Freddy is easy to play but not at all easy to do well on. His kit is too simple, and there aren't really any fancy things you can do. Hit people, set traps, teleport to gens. That's sort of his problem.

Hag...I'd disagree strongly. If you are chasing people to BL levels constantly, you are Hagging wrong. Hag is about placing traps in precisely the right place at the right time so that they trigger in the right direction. Canny survivors will spot your traps and try to detonate them safely. Being 110%, even at intermediate-high MMR is crippling. CoH is also really bad news for her, as she typically plays an attrition game.

She's one of the rarest killers, and there's a reason for that.
