Opinions on Upcoming Ringu DLC?
I'm personally pretty excited, and I'm glad to see classic Japanese horror come to Dbd. Interested to see how the power will work.

Considering the last few Killers, I'm very wary of the new Chapter.
2021 Killers:
Trickster: Awful on release, released with plenty of bugs (breakdown and god bus iirc) AND he was borderline Old Legion tiers of unfun.
Nemesis: Literally killed Console's.
Pinhead: NFT's.
Artist: Extremely boring but at least she didn't kill Console's or promote a digital currency that destroys the environment.
Maybe 2022 will be better, but I don't have any hope.

Meh, the last few killers had unimaginative powers for the most part. Mr Baldy was the most interesting one with his chain hunt event, but Caw Caw lady is just annoying. So I don't have my hopes up- hopefully the devs make me eat my words, but it seems like the game is getting over saturated with killers and coming up with powers is only going to get more difficult from here on out.
I hope the perks are moderately strong and make for some unique game play.
I'd buy the chapter if they could somehow include Brenda and Cindy from Scary movie.

The killer will be B/C-tier, the map will be insanely survivor-sided, and the new Boon: Recharge where exhaustion recovers 4x as fast and while running within the boon range will be super fun for survivors

I'm definitely more interested in Ringu as an IP than I am Silent Hill and Resident Evil. 🙂 I'm also pretty curious to see what they do with Sadako's abilities, some of the possible directions they could take with it could be kind of fun.

Hey that’s what I said. Like I said there is some good news Clive Barker has the rights to Hellraiser again so Pinhead is not owned by the NFT company anymore so the pinhead we have now is owned by Clive Barker so no more NFT and new voices.

The whole NFT thing and the lag that came with RE chapter was pretty bad. I still love both of those killers though. They are pretty decent as well. I completely agree with you on Trickster! I've disliked him for a long time now. He could be removed, and I wouldn't care.
I'm actually looking forward to the new chapter. I just hope she has an interesting and unique power.

I have to agree that I'm kinda weary of this new chapter. Beyond just the bugs and optimization issues of recent patches.
Right now there's so many killers that already cover all of the aspects of gameplay that DBD has to offer with their powers. Unless they add some type of new gameplay to spice it up, it's just going to be the same type of power just recycled to look different.
It's either going to be some kind of anti loop, some kind of gap closer, like a dash or teleport, or increased speed of some sort, or some variation of a ranged killer(unlikely given the character).
Right now as it stands, there's just not enough variation in gameplay that could give us a new and interesting power that isn't just kinda reskinned.
And I don't mean new gameplay like boons or breakable walls. That's all literally stuff that we already had in the game (totems and pallets). They were just changed slightly and labeled new. We need something actually fresh. Otherwise it's just gonna be another disappointing killer.

I am very hype and finally my account is nearly at the point where I can focus on the new killer as they drop instead of playing catch up. Not going to lie, Artist was such a miss for me. I need a new killer that is actually fun.
