already over this bp event

It's such a weird mindset.
You easilly get more bp if you chill a bit and play the long game.
Even as survivor when you don't escape you typically have more bp then if you leave in 4 minutes without interacting with the killer.

I didn't realize 1.5x BP meant people were going to change how they play the game. That's kind of on you for expecting it, especially from this community

I wasn't thinking and brought party streamers for the BP but then Tombstone because I'm a dumb #########. Match was over so quick with hardly anybody getting any bp. What a waste.
1 -
It is what it is. I've been getting killers that camp, tunnel, and play as sweaty as possible (I've seen so many Nurses today too) ... I've also been getting survivors that want to get out as fast as possible.

My first game for today I wanted to set a counterpoint to all your sad stories.
So I got my Cenobite loaded up with a - 9s chain hunt build, threw in some bloody streamers and went on it as chill as possible.
Got the Eiry map, got 10 hooks and 3K, before the first kill I let them recover the downed survivor once. Chased one on a strong tile set till the next hunt set in.
Went out with 120k BP and I think pretty much everyone maxed out or was close to.

Nowhere have I ever said to play for points, I'm saying to play like normal instead of deciding to bring the most stacked ######### which happens every single ######### event
2 -
I personally can't be bothered because there's no archive going on at the moment. I find it a waste of time to play this game when there's no goal I'm playing towards...
3 -
Argh forget it. When the snowmen dropped I said to myself that I only gonna have fun with the survivors and vibe. Well first game was very very nice with a small streamer and we all had a blast. But that much fun was a bad omen cause every game after that the survs rushed like hell tagged and even threatened me to report cause I wouldn't chase them. After getting trickster eyes I just quit playing for the rest of the event

I came back from another break for the event. I still don't have all the perks I want on artist so I played a couple matches as survivor and then played four matches with Nemesis (Would have been five but I DC'd when I loaded into RPD).
Only build I'm using is Agitation, Mad Grit, Lightborn and BBQ. I aim for four stacks and that's it. I still have some anniversary cakes left so I might aswell use them.
First match went as expected and got 1k but hooked everyone else twice. Second match was 3k. Had a leon acting weird and not really trying to run away. In the same match I had a yui who was doing everything in her power to avoid me. She was using a perk to hide blood and scratch marks (I forget the name). I found her in the end trying to open the exit gates. I grabbed her and she DC'd.
The next two matches I had were just a mess ending in 4k. Survivors were all over the place. Letting teammates die on hooks or trying to rush the basement the second I turn my back.
I saved up about 500K and spent it. I got some perks I wanted so I'll try and save up a million and then take another break.

Sadly everyone breaks out the sweat builds when they got more bloodpoints than usual because whatever expensive items they brought can almost be refunded by 1. or 2 games. Or maybe they assume the other side wants to farm. I don't know.
0 -
since more hit validations were added it's not so painful for the other side with a decent VPN. I've never had any complaints anyway, and I've asked in postgame. You'll get more hits cancelled ofc, also playing huntress might be pushing it a bit

I think that's why it would be better to have triple bloodpoints instead considering everyone will sweat super hard.
1.5x really is like Behaviour dropping bread crumbs to us.

The good: Hey, we've got extra BP for every match! That's a needed help for the monstrous grind of this game!
The bad: All of the following happened yesterday in my games:
-- 1st match as survivor, the Huntress chases me for almost 2 gens and can't down me. After they eventually get a down on someone else (with 3 gens still up), they basement hook them and immediately camp. Playing Solo, I watch the other two try an unsuccessful rescue and get slugged, with the Huntress refusing to pick them up. Instead of ignoring them, I try to pick them up (not easy, since everyone is downed near the basement) but I end up eventually downed myself. I watched the Huntress leave a slug to almost bleed out going after one of the other survivors who actually hit the Kobe when they finally were hooked.
-- Have a daily as the Hillbilly to chainsaw survivors, and I'm a barely-competent Billy -- and we're on The Game. My only goal is to get my 4 stacks of BBQ and get the daily done, which I do. Bring an Anniversary cake for everyone, and after getting one kill, the Meg who was incredibly skilled by holding W and pre-dropping every pallet on the map as she was chased before I downed her, I see furiously teabagging at the gate when I finally go to chase her out, since she wouldn't just leave. Hey, you idiot -- your extra BP was MY cake, and that stupidity is why I'm sitting on 100-150 killer cakes to begin with. *shakes head* And .. that's the last cake of the night (or the event) I'm bringing for survivors now.
-- Round as Pyramid Head in the corn, and a Feng feels the need to teabag and taunt at every pallet she drops as if she thought she was the 2nd coming of Ayrun, JRM, and Noob3 combined. She might have been macroing a flashlight too -- it's hard to remember at this point. Too bad you stepped into my trails and were in torment before I hooked you the 2nd time -- that made it really easy to ignore any potential DS you might have had when I downed you almost immediately with a blind Punishment hit through the wall after your 308th teabag of the match. Bonus points that I let the remainder of your SWF (who showed much better sportsmanship than you did) leave at that point just to send you a message.
-- Round as Huntress on Midwich. The Claudette and Nea are immediately trolling, as they're spamming vaults/lockers almost from the beginning of the match. Kill the Bill, get hooks on everyone for my 4 BBQ stacks, and then ... the Nea and Claudette go into ultra-stealth mode, refusing to work on gens or much of anything. I come across the Nancy and could have killed her, but I felt bad for her -- she wasn't with the rest of the group -- and I showed mercy on her, letting her work on gens injured while I tried to find the other two. Only saw the Nea -- who tried to flashlight save -- when I found the Claudette and downed her for her death hook. Nea spent the rest of the match refusing to do ANYTHING -- at one point, I actually downed the Nancy to try and get more time to find the Nea, but this survivor refused to do anything to help their teammate. It took almost 10 minutes (of Nea presumably hiding in lockers and stealthing through the map) before I FINALLY found her hiding and hooked her. Nancy made no attempt to rescue her, and I let that poor solo player out -- she didn't deserve teammates who were clearly sandbagging/trolling from the start.
-- Round as The Nurse on the new map. A Laurie is running OOO, and when I blink to her at the very beginning of the match, she points to a hook and goes immobile. She's giving up immediately (little does she know, I'm a baby Nurse, lol). Does she not want to face Nurse, not want to play the new map, or is she possibly trying to intentionally tank their MMR? Who knows, but I do know it ruined the match, as even when I tried to not hook her, she was running interference in front of other survivors, potentially sandbagging them, and teabagging furiously in front of me. Gave the last survivor the hatch after killing her and trying to play the game as normally as possible so that everyone else could at least have a semblance of a normal match.
-- Round as The Doctor to get a daily done. On the new map, and I get my 4 stacks -- if I get kills, that's great, but two people of an obvious SWF group brought BPS, so I'm more interested in everyone getting a good BP haul (which is usually pretty easy as Doc). I've done nothing resembling camping or tunneling, so when I downed the Feng upstairs on the landing of the main building for what would have been their 2nd hook near the end of the match and I couldn't get them to a hook before they wiggled off -- and then they immediately went back to the same spot to get downed again? Yeah -- I'm camping your body Feng, while your group comes up to try and get you without being downed themselves. After re-downing her upstairs, she finally climbed around and fell to the ground, and this time I hooked her and left the hook so her team could get the rescue. I'm not sure if I was more irritated at the Feng (who to be fair, did do the "smart" play) or the devs for creating areas on maps like this (or RPD) where getting someone to a hook is nearly impossible. *shakes head*
I had one fun match as The Pig on Haddonfield against a fellow streamer who, after getting hit, took the chance of Booping me, which in my Pig matches, always gets the pass for someone. Eventually, everyone went for the Boop, and it turned into a funny, enjoyable farming match. Talked with him afterwards in his chat -- we both were exasperated at how sweaty and/or toxic things had been over the course of our respective nights, and we both welcomed a match that we actually -- gasp! -- had fun in.
I'm hoping all of the sandbagging/stupidity got out of people's systems yesterday, but I'm not going to be holding my breath.

well of course they'd go all out. i, for one, am a bit anxious of killers denying my bloodpoints by being camped first hook so i tend to play a lil bit serious than usual because it's hard enough to grind bps as survivors.
0 -
sweating as hard as u possible can is a literal self fulfilling prophecy + will make other people sweat which makes other people sweat so on so forth until nobody is having fun
nobody enjoys sub-5 minute games, especially not during a bloodpoint event. its just so tiring
6 -
They should just fix/balance the game instead of relying on players to police themselves
0 -
thats wonderful tell me where i said they shouldnt fix their game
2 -
It kind of seems like you're blaming the players for the games terrible balance problems
0 -
im blaming the players for going out of their way to sweat their assess off when there's no need to, which is entirely a player problem.
im not blaming them for the balance
"thats just how they have f-"
queueing for 10 minutes for a 4 minute game every game where nobody gets any points interaction or satisfaction is so engaging isnt it

Today I got a SWF who built me a shrine of flashbangs. We played fetch with a pebble. And last night I was part of a SWF that built a basement Christmas tree and performed The Ritual around it while a confused top hat Blight scoured the map and eventually found us and his stack of... 12? presents.
Yes, I also ran into two BMing basement Bubbas and a couple of teammate-ragequit games that ended up with sub-7k points across the board, but it's not all bad.
1 -
when i say id kill to have games like that i wouldnt even be exaggerating
1 -
Damn I thought you guys were kidding. This event is awful. The little time off I had before work, today I used to try and grind out some BP.
And I don't think I got even 4 stacks of bbq but one match lol gens absolutely flew, survivors didn't wanna chase any, it was just hold w and predrop pallets. Like holy heck. I intentionally let survivors go so I can have chill games but what the heck is this crap xD
It absolutely makes me not want to play. I wish I decided to play some damn Spiderman before going to work today.
Edit: I'm sure it's not much better for survivors out there I just didn't get the chance to play any to comment on that

im so glad im not just going insane

For real. I tried to make a change by playing chill and be bringing bloody party streamers for everyone to enjoy, but the number of Sweat Squads is too damn high.
1 -
just pressure gens
1 -
Never bring a party streamer, Akuma. They aren't worth it. Survivor pudding only. Those streamers should rot in your inventory, never to see the light of day. Only in your most desperate moment should you even consider forfeiting your dignity and help the survivor mains as collateral damage to your own greed.
7 -
I have 111 Anniversary cakes on my Nemesis. I'll never use a single one.
5 -
I'm camping and tunneling hard especially for this event.
2 -
But. But. But... I want to break this never ending circle of hate and toxicity. Somehow. Anyhow. The survivors can see that I brought the party streamers in the pre-match screen, right? So they should take note and play a game were everyone walks home with their pockets overflowing with BP. But oh harsh reality, why you taste like ash?
3 -
I've had one match so far during this event where a survivor burned a BPS. (I actually didn't know it at the time, I missed the offering screen.) I always play nice, though, unless the survivors give me a reason not to. So, I double-hooked everyone, and on the fourth survivor's second hook... the other three left him to die for no reason. Well, I wasn't amused, so I killed them all. I got to the end screen and saw that the survivor they let die had burned a BPS.
BPS make things worse, not better. Doesn't matter who burns them. Survivors can't even be decent human beings to each other.
3 -
Play BBQ, Pain Resonance, No Way out, Noed. Tunnel / Proxy Camp 1 girl and farm tokens for No Way Out once she is dead.

I remember getting this same advice from the person who made this thread 🤣
2 -
still waiting for the clarification on "do not interact" because youre really blurring the lines here man and i dont get it
either you interact with me + i interact back or we never interact like you cant have it both ways
4 -
I'm not really getting this experience luckily. People have been playing pretty normal.
1 -
bc its worse + more frequently lmao
2 -
I think I'm going to not even bother loading up DBD during the Blood Rush, especially since Lunar New Year event should be starting up soon (this year Lunar New Year is Feb 1-15 so assuming the event will run at same time). I'm not up for dealing with players trying to set world records for shortest match in 2 events so close together.

Waste of one of the best offerings in the game
0 -
Yeah, I know.

This content has been removed.

You're not wrong. I've only played survivor soloq since event started and 95% of the games are tunneling camping killers. Mainly tunneling and slugging actually. Normally this would happen like 50% of the time or less for me. So now I'm about to do killer, if it's just as bad as killer, I'm going to farm to try and calm this sh*t down a bit.
0 -
I had a smiliar amount until I P3'd him. I'm not even bothered that I wasted them. Rather erase them than let a sweat squad benefit from them >.<
1 -
Yeah, I got the 111 cakes after P3ing him, so I'm happy about that. I think that angel number is lucky: Nemesis is one of the more enjoyable killers for me.
A lot of times when I'm prestiging characters, I use their personal BP offerings but trash the BPS (I always end up with a few even though I try to avoid them in the Bloodweb). Bad matches feel so much worse when there's a BP offering.
0 -
Its the curse of the BPS...
Burn them as killer and get a death squad.
Burn them as survivor and get tunnelled/camped out at the start of the match.
Should read: This offering is cursed to all whom burn it.

Dont be a Stacy

i rarely see her too. Everyone in EU is just playing Blight and Nurse and then some Bubba, Huntress and Artist sprinkled in in between
1 -
I only use these when I play with friends
0 -
God tier based fellow nemmy enjoyer, what's the other killers you find enjoyable? Also what do you use on ur nemmy?
I used to have ALOT of anniversary cakes on nemesis. Like 300ish but I'm down to like 50 now. I still have a crap load on pyramid head because when he came out I quickly p3d him during that anniversary and I've always sucked with him so I don't play with him much so those cakes sorta just rot lol
1 -
Hello fellow Nemmy player. 😀 I play mostly two killers: Nemesis and Blight. I'm a simple person and I use the same build on everyone: Beast of Prey, Distressing, BBQ, and Lightborn. Well, except right now for this Blood Rush, where I had to replace Beast of Prey with Starstruck because no, no, I'm not going to be denied my hooks. (I know my build is dumb. I play to screw around more than anything. For the longest time I played almost exclusively Tier 1 Myers. No add-ons; I just enjoyed being spooky.) What about you, what's your build?
My PyramidHead has 79 4th Year Anniversary cakes on him. My Ghost Face has 150 3rd Year Anniversary cakes on him. I use Anniversary cakes to get characters to P3, but once I hit P3 I stop using the cakes. They become [completely worthless] collector's items decorating my inventory, which I'm cool with because they're pretty.
I'm not good with PyramidHead, either. He feels too clunky for me. Nemesis's tentacle is the only ranged attack that feels good to me on controller/console.
1 -
You know, sometimes I wonder if making the game miserable isn't exactly what it's about.
2 -
Gotta run Franklin's, and starstruck, and mad grit, and corrupt to actually play the game as killer. Otherwise you get bullied, ganged up on, and clicked at all game. It's pretty gross. So fun.... let's be swarmed all match instead of feared. Yeah Dwight pop that gen in my face Then DH safely to that pallet for a free 30 second loop where you turn and click each time you hop a window or pallet. So cool bro. So original.
Oh and please.... all 4 ride the end game timer down as much as possible safely against the exit and spam flashlights and teabag me until I have to individually hit each of you out to make the game end.
