Prime Gaming Code Invalid

Was just about to claim my Prime Gaming Key for The Blight’s ‘Seething Ice’ skin in the DbD ingame store, but then it says the code is invalid. I copied the code several times and even checked to see if it had a space at the end, but nothing. The code is correct according to Prime Gaming, but I just can't claim it.

Me too. I gave up on them. I asked for help, and it seems like no many are having that issue. So I just stopped caring. I'd copy and paste it as well. Or even manually typing it didn't work.

You included the hyphens and everything? Sorry to hear people are having that issue. Thankfully, mine have worked both months so far.

@Tranquil_Blue yes they were copied too.

The code tends to get off sometimes, make sure you copied the entire thing.

@GentlemanFridge I double checked and the entire code has been copied.

How long is it? Mine worked and both were 36 characters long. Most likely all of them have that length. Don't post your code here obviously, just the length please.

Mine is 37 characters long, but there's no space or anything that could explain the 1 character more.

What happens when you copy it and try to delete the last character? There could be an invisible line break character or something. If there is one then when you try to delete nothing (visible) should happen.

I had an issue at first too but it was because I was just typing the code not the dashes

@Madjura No there isn't an invisible line break character. I can instantly delete the last visible character.

@chargernick85 I copied the code with all the dashes.

Yeah that sucks. I was just explaining my experience with it. I'm on Console so I couldn't copy and paste so that's how I kept cucking it up. Really got no clue what else could be the problem.

I know in the past the very last character was getting cut off for me

Having the same issue as well. Tried 4 times and couldn't get it to work, even entering manually exactly how it is with the dashes. Thought I was just messing it up still somehow, had my husband read the code to me and double check it, still would not accept it. Had no trouble before claiming The Artist codes either...

I had trouble claiming the January code as well but I discovered my code wasn't working because it times out. I don't know when this time out happens but I copied the code and went to go do something real quick, came back to enter my code and for about an hour I was trying to get the code to work. I got super frustrated with it until I did the last thing I could think of: refresh for a new code and immediately type it in. It worked.

If you're copying the code from mobile, I know it doesn't give you the whole code, you'll have to scroll to see the rest of it. I don't know if you can see the whole code on computer as I don't own a computer anymore at the moment but yeah.

Hope this helps anyone here. :)

When I tried it, it kept giving me my artist code. I had to back out, go back into the prime gaming section and then "claim" the Blight skin and use the new one it gave me. Maybe try going directly here and seeing if it lets you "claim" it?

Thank you, I went back in, made sure to click directly on The Blight (I think this was missing yesterday?} and it issued the right code this time. If you scroll to bottom of the page where the code is generated, make sure it's showing The Blight and not The Artist and you should be good to go.

  • I've basically gone through all the steps and still can't get the code to work. I've refreshed like 100 times, put all the dashes and triple checked to see if the code was wrong when I typed it in but it still gets denied. I looked at the bottom of the screen under the actual code, and since I did redeem the artist skins it does show up there, but it makes no sense why an already redeemed code would still be given to me considering it isn't redeemable anymore and the code is supposed to be for Blights skin. if anyone other than me is having this problem still and you've figured out the solution I'd appreciate the help

Oh man, I'm sorry this is still happening. If you still haven't been able to redeem it, I suggest opening a support ticket asap. You can use the form at https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new . I hope they can get it resolved for you since using a 3rd party system can be tricky.
