Wow ppl already forgot how Demo works?
A mikaela was hiding in a locker right next to my portal so I could see and hear her with my Killer instinct when I rdy up the power. She kept hiding there till I got there and grabbed her out.
She reported me for wall hacking

When Killer Instinct was introduced with Legion, survivors had some indication of when the mechanic was in play (terror radius). With killers like Demo, Twins etc. they have no indicator and either don't know that they are being detected or simply forgot.
Most survivors are casual and do not read every single killer power in depth. KI is not a very intuitive mechanic to begin with.

Legion power works the same. Just a survivor who hasn't had the joy of playing against killer instinct

tbf most of the new Killers also have it nowdays like Nemesis, Artist, Pinhead etc

right. when i play survivor, i only hide in a locker to avoid bbq. It isn't a good strat i feel in general b/c it's a very high risk move.

Awww. But its kinda cute. I also once got accused of wallhacking when I hit sniper hits with Pyramid Head. The truth it, I kinda did, but the sanctioned one ,ie "Whombo Combo Nurses Calling + M&A".
I had the strangest start with Demogorgon, BTW. I bought dbd together with the Stranger Things DLC in November and my first forays into the game as killer where therefore with good boi Demogorgon. And of course I failed miserably. Everything felt off and I had no idea how the portals worked. I would always look down at a portal and got nothing to work and gave up in frustration.
When I finally got a foothold and a good understanding of the game I grinded hard and brought every killer I got my hands on to lvl 40+ in order to get their teachables unlooked. This of course left poor Demodog in the dust, as his teachables were long in the public pool by now. This month I finally came around and tried him out properly for the first time and BOI OH BOI do I love me that Demogorgon gameplay! Its sad that I will never be able to buy some fun chain outfits for him or anything, but I am now on the verge of P3ing him, just 3 more bloodweb levels to grind, in order to show my luv to the cute pupper.
In the last two weeks I played a lot of him and yeah, you will see people constantly trying to close your portals, while you are closing by from another angle, giving you cheap and easy hits and downs. Some people have the timing perfected to hit Demo out of a shred with a pallet, but most survivors will stare rather dumbfounded at how fast you blitz through them, only realizing what fate will befall them when they see Barbs broken glasses in the debris.
So this was a rather long and somewhat pointless, but hopefully amusing, storytime about how Demo became my second most played killer.

Seems like every time you grab someone from a locker these days they accuse you of hacking or stream sniping.
Its often pretty obvious when people have jumped in a locker even without killer instinct tracking.
Last one I had was as Myers, someone doing the gen on saloon balcony. I heard the locker door as I went up the stairs, so I kicked the gen and then grabbed the survivor.
Reported for stream sniping along with a bunch of other accusations. Its getting tiresome.

True but if something happens that you dont understand you dont jump the gun and scream witch! I've seen some stuff I couldnt explain and when I posted a question on the forums people explained it to me and it made sense. I've had people accuse me of wall hacking as Nurse because they were healing in my TR and they didnt know what Nurse's Calling did.
I had a match as trapper a long time ago. It was one of billy's maps back when it was still night time. I almost always run whispers. There's 2 survivors left and 2 gens left to complete. Im near the killer shack and basement is in there. Whispers is going off. There's no gens around that area. Any hexs I brought were already gone. There is no reason for anyone to be there. I look around the shack, didn't see him. Whispers is still going off. I figure he must be looting the basement. I go in the shack and check the lockers upstairs. Whispers is still going off. I tell myself "If he was outside the shack hiding from me. He would have left by now. So he must still be here". I check the basement. First I walk around to check the corners. See no one. I check the lockers near the stairs and nothing. I check one locker in the corner and nothing. I check the final locker and there he is. In the end game chat he asked how I knew he was there. I explained everything and he said "Okay, that makes sense now". That's what your suppose to do. If you get caught it doesn't automatically mean the killer cheated. It may actually have been that you got outplayed.

I may not do that, and you may not do that, and a vast majority of people may do that, but I've been accused of hacking more times than I can count on my hands because of Mad Grit alone.
My comment was more directed towards the title than what actually happened- it's entirely possible she'd never seen a Demo and so couldn't have forgotten about it. The accusation of hacking is just the cherry on top of proving she doesn't understand his power.

Not surprising at all. I have been harassed for cheating with Mirror Myers, Legion, Doc (static blast hit them as they were entering locker), Plague (locker was ######### green dude), Twins, and more than a few times with Artist (Birds randomly came past the locker). Have not had it happen with Demo yet but ######### hilarious I am so going to try now.

The issue is more, that hacking increased drastically over the last month. The big streamers can get several hackers per day. So its fair to assume, that those people calling you a hacker, just thought you´re another one. Is it madening? Sure! But i can kinda understand those people. Everything out of the ordinary looks fishy to casual players.
This won´t improve until the devs do something, btw.

This is something I think a lot of survivors don't understand. Even if you go in slowly the door swing/close is quite easy to hear. I know some killers can be dunked on by jumping in a bush/locker but good killers with a good headset.....you gonna die.

Ye especially since there are more hackers around I do understand that claim however some ppl do find the craziest excuses like when I was running around the map as Oni with blood fury and I saw barely visible scratch marks about to fade away at a rock at the edge of map, so I went there and downed her. She asked me how I saw her, when I told her I saw scratch marks she said "No I didnt run ,stop pretending".
It is really getting tiresome.

When I play Portalgorgon against Ttv, I go full tilt when they accuse me of hacking because "no way he knew I was there" and then sure enough they never check my build or addons but yup that demo hacked

In fairness, I'm not sure how many survivor mains knew demo's portals gave killer instinct over themselves in the first place.

"... they have no indicator ...", Ehm no, you pretty much know it with every killer that has some KI built in.
With Legion, as you said you are being revealed by KI when hearing the TR and knowing that legion is currently in frenzy.
With Ghostface, you will get revealed by KI when revealing GF.
With Demo, you get oblivious and a visual effect when near the portal. Sure you do not know when exactly you are highlighted by KI, but you now you CAN be revealed at any given time as long as you stay in the portal range.
With PyramidHead, you are revealed by KI when stepping on a trail, highly noticable, since you will aslo scream (except when using Calm Spirit).
With Twins, is somewhat similar to demo. When you are near enough to an idle victor you hear him and get an additional TR-like music on top. So the second you hear him, you will get revealed by KI, except if you crouch into the range.
With Nemesis, you get revealed by KI when using a vaccine.
With Pinhead, when solving the configuration you get revealed.
With Artist, you get revealed when crows fly past you, but you do not get swarmed. Granted this one is the most difficult to recognize.
So it sums down to:
With GF, PyH, Nemesis or PiH, you get revealed when doing a certain action
With Legion, Demo, Twins and Artist, you will / may get revealed when just being near someone or something.

Thats the relevant point here. You have to know the killers powers and how they can detect you. Thats why it's always adviced to play at least a bit killer, since it can make you a better survivor. Just reading about the killers power is also not necessarily enough, some things may not be mentioned (although KI should be in all occasions, since it's more of a core mechanic). And esp the later killers tend to be more complicated with their power, so just reading it will only confuse you, but not give you any real insight. You have to play them, get to know how their power is used and feels. That will also help you in remembering the power details. I would argue, when only reading the power desciptions, you will already have forgotten half of it the next day.

With the amount of cheaters in the game right now being called a hacker(which it technically isnt hacking since your not messing with server side data just your own output code) its not something you want to be called atm. Personally though one should take it as a badge of honor you played so good they cant fathom a legit player pulling what you did with out a cheat involved.
