Can someone show/explain to me how to do blight flicks/techs on console?

Can it even be done on console? I thought it was done by cranking up your dpi mid rush.

I've seen multiple other people in the forum say flicks and techs are doable on console, but they never elaborate so I don't know if they are lying or not.

Idk about flicking, but you can defintely hug tech. Basically what you do is rush into a flat wall or surface, push yourself up against it during your slam duration, and from there you can rush again while hugging the wall and gliding along it. It's pretty easy to execute, but tricky to fully manipulate.

Can you link a video of someone successfully pulling it off?

The first step is to increase your console controller sensitivity until you can handle it at max. I would say increase it by 5-10% each game until it is at 100%. This is because it is necessary in order to compensate for the lower turning rate compared to a mouse with a high DPI.
After that, its really about mimicking the motions of a mouse with your controller. LilithOmen? I think is the name, is a blight main that often records their mouse hand while playing, and could be good for you to check them out.

Regarding flicks. If you mean shoulder flick - rush on top of survivor and attack in the direction they face.
If you mean flick for 90 degree around corner, stick to side and m1 and hold stick for drag.
The secret is to have attack straight away instead going into lunge

This is a video of me practicing with him. At about 1:57 I pull off a successful hug tech. I also do more hug techs in the video, but almost none of them result in hits. Need more practice.

If during initiation of hughtech as you press L2 and flick camera other way, it will go into moon rush. And then by moving camera you can do double back

Interesting. So what about 180 flicks? I believe it's called a z flick these days?

on the edge of the wall you look down and proceed with ordinary 90. Its quite hard even for pc.
Its not hard 180 but rather more of a U-turn

the 2 techs right now are "hug tech" and a deeper angle flick
to hug tech get close to something look down or up and start rushing
to do a deeper angle flick simply use the look angle while rushing to turn before you start your attack

When Blight was first released, he was garbage on console. There were eventually console Blight improvements added to the game, but it feels like these console improvements partially broke when one of the many PC Blight nerfs were implemented. Console Blight isn’t nearly as bad as he was when he was originally released, but there are still things that PC Blight can do much better.

Watch LilithOmen for maximum Blight experience. He is also working on another YT guide, this time for console blight.

Just saying if you’re still confused.
DPI has nothing to do with anything but comfort anymore, you can perform every single blight tech on console
hug techs are the same, same goes for moonrushes and slingshots.
Shoulder bumping is kinda harder but you can try and practice them
You’re gonna need some time if you plan on achieving a skill level as good as LilithOmen or Ascension, but you’ll get through it. I recommend using the Alchemist Ring as you really want to use your power as much as possible. Don’t run speed addons for now though, it’ll mess with your muscle memory. I started playing after the POV fix on PC and it still feels like learning every single game, so keep on using your power in chase, play as much games as you can, perfect your bump logic and then try and go for some advanced Blight techs. Good luck out there, if you have any questions you know what to do ;)

When attempting to do a 90 degree turn, start turning before you actually swing, if you swing and then try to turn you'll get a 45 degree angle turn.

When will that guide come out?

Since i have game pass ultimate I'll go into a custom match with myself via cloud gaming to practice flicks and techs
