I’m done with this game
every Update makes playing killer (killer main) less and less enjoyable. How on earth did this new Boil Over perk get approved and how did they think this was a good idea? This game has gone so far downhill in the past year I can’t wait for something else to come out to give it some competition.

Please, don’t cry killers for everything everyday. You won’t see a boil over in a week. I’m sure killers main here only have seen it in YouTube videos. In about 30 matches I didn’t see any boil over.

I swear I’ve had it every game and I’ve missed half my hooks because of it go play killer and come back with your feedback

Really, I saw it in on half of my survivors when I was playing. It was only an issue in one game where I had to bleed out 2 survivors because I couldn't get them to hooks.

you can’t lose half of your hooks because boil over. Sorry, I cant believe it. I know why killers complain about COH or dh, but not for every perk, item, snowmen or anything changed in this game

I'm hearing a but of complaints about boil over bully swf builds and map offerings that complement the perk.....
But so far I've encountered boil over only a few times personally. And during those times yeah I struggled a bit but I still got the hook.
I have more trouble with being swarmed while carrying survivors bc of COH and fast heals then I do with boil over builds .
It just dropped so maybe it's just me that's not experiencing this very much.

I think the Boil Over meta will be short lived as unless they come in as a bully squad the use is going to be very situational and most will return to the usual meta we all know (and hate lol). It is obviously strong in the right situations but I think when survivors get limited value it will become a rare meme nobody runs most of the time

The snowman was an issue and also maps like midwich and now most 2 plus floored map makes it unbearable thanks to another survivor hand out. Maybe instead of thinking that killers are just whining maybe actually see why people are having issues.

I used it just to test it out with the wiggle feature. I would never use it in a meta build. Most everyone is just testing it out, and, as a survivor main, I don't find it all that useful even after the change.

You can lose half your hook because of boil over you just need to go down close to a cliff and when the killer pick you up just like that you have 25 % of your wiggle bar complete

It will basically never have competition when every attempt is trying to reinvent the wheel and or PC royalty exclusive. They caught lightning in a bottle and clearly do not quite understand how to maintain it. What hope do OTHER developers have?

As long as there are map configurations where Boil Over makes hooking -impossible-, Boil Over will be a prominent perk choice.

It'll be like Lucky Break with all the hysteria and then it vanishes. How can you quit when killer got a huge rework to Dead Man's Switch? Very strong perk that gives killer an advantage. These perks are actually effective.

I'm seeing it in maybe half my matches. At least one person.
In 26 matches since yesterday, I've also seen 3 'bully squads' abusing it with a map offering to be essentially unhookable, forcing me to bleed people out (not fun).
Slugging = standing around doing nothing, almost no BP gained. If killers are forced to slug and bleed people out because it's literally impossible to hook them from an easily accessible location (IWOM tower, RPD library, Eyrie second floor) then something needs to be changed.

It blocks the gen and it highlights the gen telling the killer exactly which one.

For how long? From the sounding of it it's still kinda meh in terms of killer perks.

For 45 sec. Exept the cd start when you hook the target so if it take 30 sec for someone to leave a gen then the gen will be block for 15 sec. The perk is good on artist and maybe some killer that can traverse the map at the speed of light

Just a side note but I see people reference lucky break often when it comes to these topics, however everyone seems to forget that it was nerfed into oblivion before going live. The hysteria was regarding pre-nerf lucky break.

More and more don't. I've stopped months ago. I've played only one evening yesterday to try this patch and got the game uninstalled the same night. None of my killer friends are playing anymore. The last one stopped years ago (A Billy main, he didn't even see what they've done with it).

I've only heard about it. Some guy in the Q&A was particularly targeted by the rants I've heard. If what he said was accurately quoted there is no hope left for this game ...

I must be the most blind person on the planet. I just dont understand the killer stress. Its a game... so what if I loose some times. Oh well, que times are instant I can literally be in the next game by the time you're still sulking XD

Because it's not "Oh I lost because I need more practice" instead it's more "great another game where I lost due to op perks,rng and broken balancing" not to mention it seems more and more survivors devolve into acting like toddlers when they play and it's kinda hard not to get pissed off after the 5th to 10th time.

You say 5'th or 10'th but I feel like you mean 4 games where it does not happen, then 1 where it does... then 3 games where it doesn't happen and 1 where it does ect....

Oh trust me I am counting all and it's either I lose due to bullshit or I win and someone bitches about how I did it so again its that cycle of why bother when it comes to people who play killer. If you lose you feel like ######### and thanks to the bloodweb system you can't really bounce back and if you win you are told you're ######### by toddler minded survivors.

I get salt less than 1 in 50 games. Now if I were a new player I could say maybe I just got lucky... but being half way into devotion 2, with over 700 hours, there is no way I'm THAT lucky.
So the only thing I can figure is everyone else over exaggerates... that or I REALLY need to ######### play the lottery because my luck is god like.

I get it about 1/2 of the time and the other 1/2 is me losing cause someone decided to use dead hard during egc cause ######### that perk.

Seriously. I played maybe 5 matches tonight and 1 of them was a full boil over TTV SWF.
Absolutely obnoxious because they would run to unhookable spots at the top of Lerys during any chase. Then you had to not use any drops and try to get them to a hook hella far away through breakout + bodyblocks?
It woulda been a game ending event playing most killers, but luckily I was on a very strong one.
It's bad enough you gotta get through a million safe pallets, 2 health states, dead hard, and maybe an insta medkit and now you gotta fight to even get your hook too? This game is kinda trash right now.
I almost can't believe it was released the way it is. But then again, it's sad that I can.

Right now it's just selling people stuff and keep it survivor biased as hell.

It's different for everybody, I'm also above 700 hours, and I've gotten so much hate because I tunnel or camp when necessary (not for malicious intent). However, despite what most people have been saying, I haven't gone against a SINGLE hacker (although I have no way to tell if I went against subtle hackers).

I've been wondering it for a while. Most people give answers like "well there's 4 survivors so it's because survivors are the main customer" but that falls apart because the game is asymmetrical and requires that 1 for the game to function. Survivors straight up cannot play the game if that 1 is not available. And we are now seeing the consequences of taking this sort of "business strategy." one side basically has to wait for ages to play now, and the other has largely just left. And eventually the side that has to wait is also going to get fed up and just leave as well.
I do not see any outcome from the long term application of this "strategy" besides the game dying. The only way this strategy even makes sense is if you only care about short term profits and don't care if your business even exists in two years. This stuff has been confusing to me because it just seems clear to me that the current path of the game is death if it doesn't change course, and the devs seem to adamantly be pushing on the accelerator instead of the breaks. I mean this last patch had survivor mechanic buffs and a nerf to clown of all killers. The Q&A basically stated they don't care to fix killer. They've also now admitted to a double standard where they won't nerf survivors based on high MMR performance, but will nerf the least picked killer because 2 people who play them at high MMR are good. They have repeatedly implied no changes are coming to killer any time in the near future.

Guess it just hoping VHS comes to early access soon and the evil dead game coming out as well.
