Possible bug with Pain Resonance + Dead Man's Switch?

I was playing against a Pinhead with confirmed Pain Resonance. Upon hooking a survivor, I screamed as I was working on a gen and quickly released and pressed M1. The gen exploded and got a partial entity block visual effect and stayed like that for the rest of the match, although not really blocked. Has anyone experienced that?

    I forgot to add, I believe it was Dead Man's Switch but I forgot to wait for the killer to finish the match.
