Face campers, campers
Hello everyone.
First of all sorry for my english.
Interest will be something change about report thos players who destroy our fun/games?
Face camp and camp one hook instead of gameing. If we leave the games get penalty.
Of course they wont be banned from the game devs.
Maybe 5-10 report from the same person as camp get the points nerf or something.
Thanks anyways

Camping is not against the rules. It's a cheap and cheesy way to play, but some killers are sort of built to camp.
Recently though, we saw a very silly buff to a perk called Boil Over, which makes it really annoying to hook people - likely increasing the number of campers.

Why would it? It's not against the rules.

If someone is camping they probably don’t care about points anyway so that wouldn’t do anything

If you are playing with friends, just equip Kinship and BT. You can exchange on hooks, do gens in peace and have ez 3 man escape.

It's definitely something that should be addressed, but it's not against the rules. It's definitely stronger than it should be, and that's probably because the complete lack of info solo queue gets coupled with bad matchmaking on the survivor side(let's make matchmaking skill based and then throw that out the window as soon as there's any congestion lol high fives everyone). There's an overwhelming likelihood that one survivor will make a huge mistake against a camper and cause a snowball.

Kindred*

No, Kinship. Kindred is good when you play with randoms. Kinship extends hook time so more time wasted for killer and more gens done

For the same reason you can't report survivors for teabaging you at the exit gate. Yes its annoiyng and ruining your fun but it isn't against the rules in any way. Also unlike teabaging, camping is actually a viable strategy in certain situations.

Honesty it's not a strategy anymore it's just normal gameplay.

Thanks for the answers guys.
Gl hf for ya :)

Really, how so? Camping is actually very punishing if the survivors do gens instead of throwing themselves at the killer repeatedly for god knows what reason.

Funnily enough, i´ve had matches where survivors "thanked" the no camping playstyle by flashlight clicking and teabagging. So it seems, some survivors want to be camped. I know its hard to believe, but when a freshly unhooked survivor runs straight to the killer, just because he has BT+DS, then one must wonder what their problem is.

Making a false report is against the rule.
Camping is not against the rules.

They don’t ever want to address why killers camp. They just want killers to be punished so they can have even easier games. Hence why have no issue camping or tunneling as much as I please. Everyone should be free to play how they want full stop.

Oh, yea, sorry. Even then, Kindred is better because it will allow all three teammates to work on gens while Kinship requires a teammate to be near you in order to work.

There isn't anything wrong with camping as it can be used as a tactic. And like most said, some killers like Trickster, Bubba, etc. are made more specifically to pressure hooks and areas where survivors are the most vulnerable. Camping hooks may be boring, but sometimes it can be necessary if you just want to confirm a kill or to win. Face camping usually just means they are mad at you and won't let you escape, which can be irritating. There is nothing ever wrong with camping as it is impossible to eliminate and some games like DbD and F13 usually strongly encourages camping, and encourage both side to do the best they could or to win by any means necessary to the player.

If you don't like camping, blame how difficult it is for killers to hit and down survivors in this era of awful map construction, survivor perk power creep, insane healing/repair speeds, and wave after wave of killer nerfs.

When a good majority of players use it beginning, middle or end of the match it's not a strategy it's just gameplay.
Yes I know doing gens is the counter to camping that's why I stick to gens like glue instead of running in for the rescue.
I'm not blaming I'm just saying.

dont blame others because of the way your play. You don’t need to camper to have fun

You don't need to do gens to have fun.
See, players thinking they can decide what's 'fun', and then thinking they can ENFORCE what they think is 'fun' is part of the problem with DBD.
It's what gave rise to that Survivor Rulebook For Killers meme, after all; Survivors deciding they could put their 'fun' above the Killer's agency to play how they want.

i wasn’t taking to you, thx

You are talking on a publicly open forum so anything you say can be rebuked by others for your bad opinions.

Oh I quit. Because I wasn't having fun.
For what it's worth: I didn't face camp. I certainly patrolled around on some games, because you'd be a fool to go off chasing a fully healthy survivor who is just orbiting far enough away that they'll get to Shack or something. But I didn't stand in front of the first hook staring at them till they get sacrificed.
But I also don't blame people who do anymore. I USED to think that was a crummy way to play, because you could get way more points by chasing, downing, and hooking other survivors. But not anymore. Now, chases take far too long, hooks are too easy to deny, and any temporary damage you do is removed in literal seconds.
I didn't care about 4ks. But I DID care about getting hooks. And when the game is built to deny killers from getting so much as 3 hooks in a game? Yeah. I don't blame campers.
And neither should you. Blame the current state of the game. If survivors had fewer resources to keep chases going forever, EVERYONE would have more entertaining games.
