Stop trying to be insulting and just understand this concept: The killer isn't bound to "play normal" they can play however they want. Just because they want to finish a challenge doesn't mean you also get to finish yours. That is again your job to do and if you can't get it in one game then you have to just go to the next and try again.

If you like farming, farm. If you don't, do gens and leave, but please don't go asking for things like this.
Just be glad it wasn't a match in which you got camped and/or tunneled and move on.

Apparently we're killer mains for not focusing our efforts in game into completing opponents objectives for them. Also it's the opponents being unfair and mean for not allowing them to complete their objective when they made the conscious decision to help the opponent complete their objective.

How do you not have a choice? either run the killer while the other survivors do gens, or run away and do gens while the killer mucks about with the others. You're not being held hostage by a bodyblocking myers or something, believe it or not you do have agency in this situation.

It's even worse if it's a survivor challenge because you are now impacting your team and lowering their chance of winning by doing a challenge that is putting you (and thus the team by proxy) at a disadvantage. I think the most pure example of this is the blue glyphs. I like the idea of the glyphs but I don't like the idea of that challenge putting detrimental effects on you, which now harms your team by making you weaker for some time. There's other challenges that encourage you to go out of your way to do things you don't generally do regularly. I am certainly guilty of going in a match and just running to every hook saboing them for a sabo tome challenge.

I don't think I've ever farmed by choice.
It's the killer's as soon as they come in or however fast, brutally they usually murder two of the survivors. Killers have feelings and regret being nasty sometimes by farming.
Like I said, if you don't want to farm, don't.
You can stay AFK, do gens, ask the killer to hook you so you die, DC even!
In your case, you wanted to do your daily and it didn't work. Well, life. Hopefully at the next one.
I got let go of a match trying to do the adept and I was like: no, I want to earn this.
Should I complain? No, be glad and try again. It's really easy.

My point is a Killer can hold the game as today, he was all wanting to just have the red glyph so we had a boring match, opened the gate for us to want us to leave my point is I had a challenge to do, but we had to pander to the whims of the killer

There are some killer ones that are just as bad, especially the invisible glyph one. You basically have to give up all post hook pressure and time to get it unless you otherwise randomly chance upon it at a time you can afford it. Ones for breaking pallets can be a waste of time and even setups for killers like huntress and hag who can benefit from keeping them.
I don't think a single person disagrees that some challenge designs are awful, but the topic is about OP being upset they didn't get one for free as "thanks" from the killer.

Your point is nonsensical. For one game you don't get to complete your challenge and instead of brushing it off and trying again you want to complain that this one killer didn't pander to you doing what you needed to do. That's just a bit hypocritical...

@SunsetSherbet the fun of missions is that they take the focus away from gens/chase /doors and give you a little extra to do. Some of them involve a little risk, like being blind or not hearing the TR, I would not go that far as to call them detrimental for the team.
Unless, obviously, you run around like a headless chicken looking for the glyph and not being aware of your surroundings not knowing where the killer is, then yes that's detrimental, but that's the player's mentality, not the mission in itself.

The killer isn't holding the game hostage. They did not prevent gens from being able to be done, and unless they bodyblocked you in a spot where you couldn't move, they did not prevent you from being able to work toward your goal. Hell, according to the devs, boil over RPD exploits aren't considered taking the game hostage, even though they can waste absurd amounts of both the killer and other survivors' time. If you don't want to participate, just go your objective, don't help the killer, and leave.
You literally have zero point outside of "the killer didn't give me my challenge back"

Technically, yes. you're not supposed to collaborate with the killer in general, especially through messaging software. Survivors use that to sandbag each other all the time, and its not a built in feature for multiple reasons.
Nobody EVER has to cooperate with farming or cooperation with the opposing side. You ALWAYS have a choice in the matter, and there is no restriction nor requirement of such truces to happen. Again, the killer could have thanked you by just killing you and smacking you on hook until the timer ran out. Take the W and don't complain.

Being oblivious or blind is detrimental to the team because it's a negative effect on you that makes you play worse nd makes you weaker. Killers have entire abilities and perks revolving around inflicting these. If they aren't detrimental then that's evidence they need to be severely buffed.

Translation: Killers, remember to feel bad if you don't bow to your Survivor overlords and ensure they are OK with you trying to win! Remember; you can't win if Survivors have a challenge to do! Their fun comes before your attempts to win!
Seriously; the Killer is your damn opponent, not your buddy. Do you really expect Killers to log into a match and figure out if you're trying to do a challenge, and then expect them to let you/help you do that challenge?

The Killer ain't an employee there to pat you on the head and ensure you had fun and did all you want. They're called 'Challenges' and not 'Farm with the Killer' for a reason.

So should we add to Mushwin's request of the killers allowing survivors to do their dailies that the rift challenges are also easy and not dangerous to do? That way, we make sure we get everything we want.

I think both sides should just play the game and stop trying to farm or throw for challenges. That'd be awesome. Hate it when I load in and the killer is tapping a gen or the survivors are pointing at a hook. I'm not farming.

I can't believe this severe injustice you've just encountered. The fact you were trying to do a challenge but in this one game, one specific thing happened that didn't allow you to do it, as it does for everyone all the time! This cannot simply stand I must create a topic on this myself and talk of my complete and utter outrage! The next time someone isn't doing mental gymnastics and using telepathy to allow me to do my challenge while they so freely do their own, boy, they're gonna get a GG EZ from the peeved me!

Oh my damn I don't understand why people are being so hostile to you for your op
I normally try my up most to take in regard if possible things survivors may be trying to do eg tome stuff or exit gates in just a regular match I play .
But I do play both sides tho so I'm aware of the challenges probably more than a full devoted killer main may be and I know that challenges can be a pain in the butt sometimes .
If as a farming killer I would totally go out of my way to let survivors do what they need.Its only fair everyone gets what they want and it's just polite in all honesty.

I do not think you understand... But, I do not care. If I am doing my challenge, that is my priority. If you send me a message and ask for help, I am down. But how the hell am I supposed to know, otherwise? I have even let people attempt the Left 4 Dead achievement and they do not want it. I cannot read minds, fam.
