What happened?
Bruh. I take like a week long break from this game and pigs are starting to 4k while afk? yikes. im gonna extend this break till things are back to normal.

If you kill one survivor before the second gen is done, it's a guaranteed 4k already. So 1k with AFK strat -> 4k from all sources together. And getting at least 1k from beartraps is 1-(3/4)^4 = ~68%
So yeah, that's 68% of 4k for just standing still in the beginning we are talking about.

You won't kill one survivor before the second gen is done though, if you camp the box, survivors will 99 5 gens.

Try picking Pig and doing it for at least 20 attempts, and see in how many of them the survivors do exactly what you described.

It's always been possible to do this, just some twat on twitch made it famous, and now with the "Saw" chapter (even though there is no free Saw cosmetics)
A few people are doing it, It requires the stars to align for a killer to pull this off. So now a low tier killer with low tier addons will have a "fix" because of twitch.

It isn't common. People are just trying to make up scenarios to force a change. I did the pig thing for a while yesterday and only ever got one kill. I did better guarding one or two boxes and attacking people that came to it.

That's not how Pig works, unless they reworked her. Every survivor has a different box that their key is in.

No solo ever able to know a Pig is gonna afk to do 99% 5 Gen. The first thing a survivor will ever do if they spawn near a Gen is to finish it as quick as possible.

This has absolutely never been the case, it is entirely possible for one box to have all the keys in, or each box to have one key each in, or only two boxes having two keys each in them etc.

I'd never heard of this afk pig thing until I went against it last week, I wasn't the one that was blocked but I can see how it's an issue, jjust the same as I can see boil over as an issue.
What bias do I have, exactly? I see two faults on both killer and survivor and I didn't dismiss one because I saw two people say something isn't common, when there is entire threads of people saying they're going against it often.

There are 2 threads so hardly a flood of complaints about it. But that might depend on timezones, server populations etc.
But to quote you again.

Any solo with two digit IQ can know if pig is afk, and even one digit survivors will understand they shouldn't finish gen when everyone has traps in their head.

With the difference, that I see people using Boil over almost every match. But I've never seen afk pigs.
You know very well how things get blown out of proportion on the forum.
I remember very well how many people defended Boil over as intended gameplay, and now those very same people claim that afk pigs is an exploit.
As I said on a different thread. Either both Boil over and afk pigs are considered an exploit or none is.

What does this quote have to do with anything? I would rather the mods clarify something, but I can clearly see in the reportable section in dead by daylight that AFKing & Idling are against the rules so what exactly am I missing, and how does this make me bias that I'd like confirmation on the rules?

I've not seen any boilover matches, but thankfully I can admit it's still a problem.
I can also see that "unsportsmanlike" have "AFK" and "Idling" as reportable, I don't know about you, but loading into a match, moving in front of a box and doing nothing the rest of the match kinda sounds like afk, and if you're still at you're desk, it's idling.

I would think it probably is, but because they don't harm anyone, nobody reports it, afk bans are pretty rare as you have to be doing it consistently and over a long period of time to be banned for it, so even if the mods did deem this bannable, most people aren't going to do it long enough to hit the ban requirement.
But keeping bubba in mind, killer loads in, walks to basement, the survivors do the gens and leave, this is literally preventing players from doing that, it is vastly different from a killer just afking the entire match.

1. How do you know youre facing Pig if you dont spawn near a Jigsaw box?
2. How do you know youre having an AFK Pig but not Trapper busying with his traps?
3. Even the most skilled Aayrun would not able to tell if someone else is going for unhook another teammate, especially indoor map. Because there is no INFO in solo.

So how many afk pigs have you personally faced?
Idling or being afk isn't allowed. But camping and insidious are desired gameplay features. So where do we draw the line of what is what?
The killer still kills with that. So he's participating in gameplay. Doesn't has to be a gameplay you and I like. But it still is valid gameplay.
Getting a bit off topic with this example, but a couple of days ago, someone showed a clip on Twitter about reaching a usually unreachable spot with DH. People called it skilled gameplay. I called it exploit. People started to insult me instantly.
The point is, that things are not weighted equally. Some people are completely fine with ignoring obvious exploits as long as it benefits them, but get mad when they're are affected by something the other side does.
Things get easily blown out of proportion. Especially here on the forum. Instead of trying to understand what the other person is trying to say, he just gets called biased or biased xxx main.
What's happening now probably won't last. Since people usually figure out some kind of counter (slugging in the case of Boil over), when more people start doing it.
Staying afk sounds terribly boring. So people might give it a couple of tries and move back to their normal gameplay. But we'll see how and if the devs react.

How are you comparing camping to afk and idling, camping means you've literally caught someone and ate standing next to them, the fact that you guys are so adamant that standing still for the entire game is 'normal gameplay' is hilarious, yea dude, stick some add-ons on, stand Infront of the box and do nothing.
There is a pretty easy to tell difference between camping someone on hook and standing still doing nothing it's actually embarrassing that I have to explain this

Anyway. I suspect that the rule against going AFK is more about people who repeatedly load into matches that they don't play, because they're farming blood points. I used to see a lot more of those.
I'm actually surprised to hear people describe body blocking the Jigsaw box as being AFK, because the killer is obviously standing still as part of a strategy and not just abandoning the game. (IMO, it's also not a very good strategy).
