Why no offering to have survivors start together for Killer?

Survivors have it, they can also start far away from the killer....

But killer only has the option to have them start separated... which is the most counter productive offering there is. No killer wants the survivors to start the match with a huge advantage lol

I guess this addons come from a different time.

From DbD past where the gens and the match in general took a bit more time to finish.

It shouldn't happen every game by default cause that can give the advantage to a killer, but an offering is much more reasonable

Majority of killers don't have much going for them at the start of the game. Having the slight advantage of survivors not spawning spread out across the map wouldn't be that game changing.

The only one I ever use is to start with one other survivor and that's only when I use prove thyself

I mean, yeah? Thats kind of the point

The early game is probably one of the most important parts of the game, thing is its HEAVILY influenced by RNG.

If all 4 Survivors spawn separated, its very likely 3 gens are gonna pop by the time the killer has their first hook (assuming every one playing is sentient)

Making Survivors all spawn together would make things more consistent, meaning your skill would have more of an impact rather than RNG.

You know how most killers have a brown offering which straight up makes their power worse, like the speed limiter, and is mostly considered for meme purposes? This is that, but for the offering. If you feel like you're too good at the game, use the offering that make all 4 survivors spawn separate from each other.

There's a lot of things like this which really need to be revisited but probably won't.

For instance, the way Prove Thyself and gens work is backwards: the perkless state should encourage working on one gen for efficiency, because that makes the risky behaviour (clump up) more rewarding (faster gens). Instead, the safe behaviour (split up) makes for the fastest progress.

That stuff like the mist reagents are from a different time. Nowadays as killer you just run to the opposite side of the map and you'll run into all four survivors anyway so it'd be kinda redundant.
