Yeah, I have the same problem. I don't really check names during the match.
Played against someone from my friendslist who removed me afterwards.

I get it that it is not nice if you play "not nice" against a friend but tbh dbd is dbd, you are not expected to go easy on ppl only cuz you know them.
But ye I am the same, I had my best friend in the lobby, I played Clown on lerys and we both where also in call. He was just playing solo que and I played Killer and it took us like 5min into the game to realize that we are facing each other xD We also made comments like "Dude this clown is so annoying he always knows where I am so I cannot flashlight save" and me be like " dude this dwight is so annoying to deal with he keeps looping me perfectly". We where laughing our asses off after that experience xD The best thing is the moment we realized it was us was becuase you can hear my space bar through my mic, always when I vaulted he could hear my space bar and was like "is it you ben?", best experience of my life oof.

Oh he wasn't a friend I knew personally. Just someone who sended me a friend invite after a match (does this make sense?).
I played Trapper, he isn't exactly a nasty killer. Maybe he expected a free release or something like that. But since I don't really pay attention to the names.
All my real friends stopped playing DbD years ago. That's why I play solo only.

You have a different name ingame, am I right? I usually check the names of fellow Survivors and Killers and sometimes I remember a name I have seen on the Forums.

Ye I rarely have my OG name, I use mostly fun or meme names something like austistic killer, pop goes my braincells, gg myself, average killer main, nerf shadowborn or shadowborn enjoyerand stuff like that.

I have gone against Sluzzy (Not impressed) and got @tippy2k2 as a solo teammate. Outside of that not that I'm aware of.

I would be fine with that. I don't play in SWF (Not a fan of CASUAL mode) but 2-man ups the difficulty to moderate or all-pro if your a sports fan lol. I do my best to have fun and like giving a free kill if the killer had a rough game (They never accept) but thought that counts.
Hell maybe you will be a survivor in one of my few killer games I play these days. Killer requires very serious gameplay these days that I'm rarely in the mood for (Thanks MMR).

Well I just got paired with Sluzzy as a survivor and we all escaped against a huntress.
Other than that not that I'm aware of.

I think the only person I've seen was Tricksters Wife when I had just fallen head over heels over Prayer Tablet Plague.
I've never really matched with anybody that stood out tbh, I'm a very lowkey gamer since I hide behind a generic xbox random generated gamertag.
I get anxiety so it's probably better that I play against strangers.
The only person I wanted to be paired up against was Otzdarva back when he was doing his "The Thing" challenge because I had a hunch that my Coulrophobia Wraith was what he was looking for but hes EU so I suppose I never had a chance in the first place

Heard of a couple people that got paired up with me as Trickster but I haven't recognized anyone back 😭
Crazy that I decided to check this post right when you mentioned me possibly 😂 As long as I was playing Cat Feng or an all red Trickster outfit or black outfit with the blood eye glam head then it was probably me! I usually never stray away from these characters/outfits :)
Sometimes people mistake me for "Trickster's Wife" who is another very common DBD player that I'm actually friends with on DBD but my steam name is "Tricksters Wife" without the apostrophe. My steam bio also mentions that I'm a Trickster one-trick and that I'm trying to become the #1 trickster player 👉🏻👈🏻

I've played with sluzzy...down to 3 people left very fast. Went against @Yords oni a very fun match. I might have played against @Nathan13 if he is on console or i just faced someone with a similar name. It's been a few months since that though. I actually played a game against almo. And have played vs dowsey tofu and tru3. If i remember anyone else ill edit this.
