Killer DC = Losing Pip as Survivor?

So, why are survivors punished for a killer who leaves the game? This has happened multiple times since the rank reset, is this a bug because I know survivors are not supposed to lose anything.

    Glad you mentioned that. I was rank 13 at reset for survivor. 2 games in a row, killer DC and then I am rank 14 even though the number on rank progress bar says 0 and not - 1 annoying
