Bloodhound is the worst killer perk in the game
Fresh blood marks are considerably more discernible than normal and can be tracked for 2 seconds longer than normal. When 5 gens fly by lol

Predator, the tracking perk that makes tracking harder, would like a word.

Bloodhound lowkey helps me on my level 30 Wraith. I can't say the same about 90% of perks in the game. Like, yes, it is trash. But the worst perk in the game? Nah.
2 -
I have to disagree. I wouldn't necessarily call Bloodhound a good perk (though its effect is noticeable and quite nice, it just doesn't outweigh the utility given by other perks), but it's really far from the worst.
Perks that give you extremely little effect (Unrelenting, Monstrous Shrine) or that actively make things worse for you (Predator) would be better picks for the worst.
In a hypothetical version of the game where you aren't quite as heavily incentivised to run slowdown perks, Bloodhound would be a nice off-meta tracking perk, and a very nice tool for helping newer players track blood on the ground.

Predator is worse imo.
Btw can spirit see blood from Bloodhound while phasing?
0 -
She cannot see blood at all while phasing, so Bloodhound wouldn't really do anything.
0 -
Then don't use it.
0 -
It's not good but it's nowhere close to the worst
Atleast it doesn't work against you like Unnerving presence or Dying light

I disagree actually, let me explain, bloodhound literally dunks on iron will gamers so hard, and seeing as 99% of survivors run it, it actually gets a lot of value during the match, its good due to the iron will meta.

*Laughs in Monstrous Shrine*
2 -
How ironic...

a destroyed Ruin is worse
1 -
Monstrous Shrine is like: "hold my beer"
0 -
I disagree. Beast of Prey, Claustrophobia, Distressing, Fire Up, Furtive Chase, Hangman's Trick, Hoarder, Insidious, Iron Grasp, Iron Maiden, Lightborn, Monstrous Shrine, Overcharge, Overwhelming Presence, Play with Your Food, Predator, Shadowborn, Spies from the Shadows, Stridor, Territorial Imperative, Trail of Torment, Unnerving Presence, and Unrelenting are worse IMO.
2 -
Predator is worse, its the only perk that directly helps the Survivors for it makes vertical scratch marks less likely to appear.
Some other perks are useless or rarely give any value but at least they dont help the other team.

Bloodhound isn't even bad, it's pretty good at what it does and blood trails can't be suppressed without the use of less used survivor perks.
It's just that just like those survivor perks, most players would rather have something else in that perk slot.
2 -
I mean, Bloodhound helps with Iron Will users, and that's a really strong perk so I wouldn't call, it useless. There's plenty of worse perks like the infamous Monstrous shrine.

Ok... you really need to reevaluate your perk choices...
The fact there is PwYF, Iron Maiden, Spies from the Shadows, Stridor, while not having dying light is just sad.
PwYF, Iron Maiden and few more perks are niche, but they are nowhere near being bad.
Spies from the Shadows can be really good tracking perk because you won't always notice crows. Run it a few times, survivors tend to really ignore birds. Is it great? No, but it can help.
While Stridor is still good perk for the nurse, trianglenoggin, spirit, if survivors don't run iron will... and to be honest i don't see iron wills as often as i used to.
While dying light... it just gives survivors a free botany...

Absolutely wrong. Bloodhound is a tracking perk that is immune to the most common survivor perk defenses. Hiding auras from Shadowstep and Distortion doesn’t work against it, neither does Iron Will or crouching. It works continuously passively all the time with no input required on the killer’s part and no special triggers like with Nurse’s calling only working while a survivor is actively healing.
Yes, it’s possible to see blood without it, but it’s also practically impossible to miss seeing blood with it, something which isn’t true on various maps with dark ground and grass and shadows. Plus the extra duration of the blood trail that Bloodhound gives makes it even less likely an injured survivor will avoid detection for very long. And since downing injured survivors is typically a more effective method of putting pressure on survivors than injuring but not downing multiple people it’s a perk that works best when you’re efficiently going for downs in the first place.
Bloodhound is a seriously underrated perk.

Bloodhound is meh on most killers. Iron grasp (with this boil over #########) is a decent choice, Iron Maiden is good on all reload killers and if you ever play against a lobby of flashbangs you will look like a genius for running it. Spies? Really Spies? Nah. Distressing has decent value as well especially on Doc or starstruck users. I run fire up all the time quite enjoy it (needs a buff though). Lightborn is hilarious against a 3-4 flashlight squad. You clearly have no idea what shadowborn does. There's more but I will leave you alone now.

Bloodhound is basically just an accessibility option hidden behind a perk slot. Kinda wish there were less of those and more actual accessibility options, but hey.

It was a good perk when I was new to the game and blood stains were harder to notice.
Experience nullifies it's effectiveness.
1 -
It's a very good beginners perk to help you track survivors.
1 -
- Boil Over is getting nerfed, so Iron Grasp will go back to being a worse version of Agitation IMO
- Iron Maiden is good on reload killers, AKA 2 killer, yes. But by itself, it's pretty bad.
- Sure, spies have a stronger effect. But it's not as reliable as Blood Hound IMO
- The doctor has Add-Ons to increase his TR and if you wanna use Starstruck with a bigger TR, use agitation. It gives you an even bigger TR than Distressing.
- Fire Up is only fairly good when all gens are done. Before that, it's not that great. I agree that the perk is enjoyable tho, and it definitely needs a buff.
- Lightborn is just, not good at all. You could just be careful full or look at a wall. And when the survivors realise you have Lightborn, it won't do anything for you.
- I run Shadowborn on most of my killers because it looks so nice. But I can't say that it's a good perk at all. It makes your FOV 15° wider. You'll do just as fine without it.

Bloodhound isn't good but it's not the worst since it doesn't have anything that actively works against you.
Stares at Dying Light and Predator

I honestly forgot that Dying Light was a perk. So it should be on my list lmao
- PWYF is a time-waster IMO. And then it's gone after doing something aggressive 3 times. It's only good on Tomb Stone Myers IMO. It might work on killers that can insta-down or Trapper somehow.
- After the map reworks, Spies has not been as reliable as it used to be. It does have a stronger effect than Blood Hound yes, but Blood Hound is more reliable IMO
- Iron Maiden is only good on Trickster and Huntress because they can read faster. Otherwise, I think Iron Maiden is betty bad.
- I don't think Stridor is good at all after the nerf. I still run into a lot of Survivors with Iron Will. And if they don't run Iron Will, you'll just do as fine without it. Especially as Spirit and Nurse.

I had a Feng who escaped my grasp twice because she had Boil over and flip-flop. The stagger from it slows you down in certain area mixed with the bonus of FF. I did not drop from anything and had Agitation. I love Agitation but iron grasp near erases any stagger and increases the time needed to wiggle off. This strat will still be viable even after it's nerf.
Your argument on some of these perks is that they are only viable on 2-3 killers and that maybe so but Bloodhound is not viable on anyone. A true killer can follow blood on there own. Hell I have been ######### up tracking blood on midwich that was built in the map....seriously I have.

I used to run it with sloppy, it was fun for a while.

ok cool?

I disagree as it is a perk that helps you. Monstrous shrine however......
0 -
No, the worst is monstrous Shrine, by far.
0 -
Bloodhound with haemorrhage is simply amazing.
0 -
I was about to say this hahaha, Predator is a literal disadvantage.
0 -
Bloodhound is a somewhat decent perk and if you combine it with sloppy it's a great tracking combo. You pretty much "Follow the Kool-Aid." until you down them. It's great if you get first hit at a window or they use overcome. There are WAY worse killer perks than bloodhound
0 -
Bloodhound makes it easier for a Killer to track the blood
Predator Is so much worse...
0 -
predator, monstrous shrine, hangman's trick and arguably even cruel limits are more situational and less useful than bloodhound. bloodhound is at least useful at what it advertises itself as, a perk that allows you to track blood better, and it works for that. While Predator does not help you one bit
0 -
Funnily enough I run it when playing basement bubba sometimes lol
0 -
Yea I'm sorry. Even tho how much I love using Shadowborn. I can't really say that it's a good perk xd
0 -
Bloodhound is more of a beginner perk. It can be useful for newer players, but becomes pointless once you learn how to track blood pools. So it's not entirely useless.
Monstrous Shrine, Beast Of Prey, Territorial Imperative, and Predator are way worse.
0 -
On a tangent Predator is actually decent on Spirit since she can still see scratches while phased. See a survivor, phase and just follow the bright red road straight to them.
