Is there a match limit for when MMR starts to kick in?


Been playing as Pig and doing fairly well. However, I have been utterly humbled last 5 games or so and lucky to get even 1 kill.

    Play mostly for fun, if you play for the win, you will suffer.

    The matchmaking portion is currently broken, so it may be that you just got unlucky playing at off times or getting shunted into a game it needs to backfill as quickly as possible.

    It sucks, but it's been acknowledged and should hopefully be fixed soon.

    Yeah I play for chases not to slug or anything but you simply cannot really win by chases alone

    Maybe random.

    But if i do well some matches i get stomped.

    If the system tries for the 50% it maybe balances itself.

    New accounts start at 900. Soft cap is 1900. The system is willing to work with 400 points of difference. Maximum possible gain is 50 I think? So theoretically you can start facing the creme of the creme after you have won 12 games. Obviously not very likely, but we have plenty of Killer mains who in all likelyhood have multiple times the soft cap, yet the system gives them people with 8 hours in the game. The system is functionally useless.
