Will you be buying the next chapter?
I think I will. I do think the new killer is a little bit on the weaker side still, and that she needs just a little something to bring her into the mid tier, which I like to call the healthy tier. I don't want her to be overpowered, but she's very abusable right now.
But overall I think she'll be fun to play, even if you don't do well with her. So I'm definitely going to buy it, and probably her legendary skin. What about y'all?

I honestly don't know.
On the one hand: her power looks fun to use and I'm interested in her perks.
On the other hand: DbD is currently in a state with "SB" MMR, Boons, and Deathslinger getting butchered for no reason that I really don't want to financially support them.

No

I probably will because I'm a sucker but this might be the first time I don't immediately on release. I probably will (see sucker above) but I'm not terribly excited for it or really much of anything in this game as of late.
None of the perks look all that good so a lot will depend on how much fun the new killer looks once I get around to watching some video

Didn't buy the last one.
DEFINITELY not going to buy this one.
1 -
Oh, absolutely. I think she'll be my new main. (especially if she gets any buffs)
My ideas for buffs: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/310934/condemnation-strength-buff-and-addon-ideas/p1?new=1

No. New killer is basically M1 in chase and is useless because of that. The perks are also weak.
Mobility means nothing if you can't down people fast, ask any demo main.

I love Sadako, she is cute. And her power is fun. But she needs some buffs for sure. Perks are okay!
New survivor is hot. Perks are garbage.
So yeah, i will buy chapter.

No
Like the killer, love the perks, but adding more grind? F that noise
1 -
Nope.
0 -
Absolutely not.
It's not worth the money.
0 -
may I ask why?
I think she's scary and fun, if not super strong.

No
I left killer cuz is hell due to boons and MMR, maybe one day when killer side will be again fun to play

I am feeling you. I am still trying have fun as killer. I don't know why i am doing this to me. I can stop play killer and i can enjoy with playing Kate and Jill, it is more easy. But still killer main.

You answered your own question.
She isnt strong and if the game was balanced properly I could see it being fun but in its current state no she is not worth it.
It's another case of a killer getting some play for a month or so then they will just get sidelined thanks to a lack of viability at higher ranks.
And for a game that is know for nerfing killers more than buffing them it's a joke to ask for 7.99 or so for another useless character slot
0 -
That's fair.
I hope she gets some buffs if she ends up not being strong enough to use competitively.
I expect I'll have fun with her, but, then again, I legitimately enjoy playing Twins and Clown, so....
0 -
Yup! I love Sadako and I love how she actually adds horror to the game.
0 -
And like I said if the game was balanced sure but between most killers missing bare basic needs just to hold their own, chases and looping being counter productive to progression thanks to maps, way too many forgiving perks for survivors and the overall rng I just can't see her being worth the money.

The added grind is really giving me pause, even though I do like the idea of the killer. I feel like I'd "need" to get her to at least P2 because I like the P1 and P2 cosmetics, so that would be at least 6-8 million bloodpoints to get her to P2 and then get some good perks on her. Then it would also be adding extra grind to all of my other killers...

For sure! The Ring is one of my favorite movies and I love playing Stealth killers. I don’t care about balance questions either way here, I’m getting Sadako. 🙂

Hey, I can respect that choice.
I hope she's buffed enough for you to be able to enjoy her someday. :)
0 -
No, not until they change dbd and balance it for both the survivor and killer role. Also, their perks aren't that significant.
1 -
No? why do we buy a killer that has no reason to play?
No unique power or no strong power, literally a killer whos not worth any money.
0 -
Nope.
If she had been released a few years earlier, I would be so hyped by now.
But unfortunately, things didn't favor me this time.

just am m1 killer with tp and a survivor with garbage perks, if i am gonna buy something it'd be the killer and that's only for her perks but i probably won't.
0 -
Yeah i will, looking forward to the chapter's release in march.

Nope, I haven't bought anything in DBD with real money since the Silent Hill chapter. If I'm watching a stream that's giving away DLC I'll enter but I have no need to buy it. There's nothing in this chapter to make me feel like I'm missing out not getting it.

I'm waiting for the nft yay or nay before I buy anything
0 -
I forgot about that side of that.
0 -
Nope. I don't care for killer anymore so there is no need to try out this new one who looks like she will struggle with competent survivors and stomp solo potatoes. The new survivor doesn't look interesting since no one the devs introduce can beat my queen Claudette. Well, almost no one. A well modeled, high polygon, high resolution textured Shirtless Henry Cavil's Geralt (from the Witcher) would cause me to part with my money.

Nah there’s no selling point. The killer looks weak, the survivor looks lame, and the perks are super underwhelming. Circle of healing was the selling point with buying mikela. Lethal purser for nemesis on the killer side. Can’t say the same for ringu

I want so badly to say no because BHVR has not been covering themselves in glory and they don't deserved to be rewarded for it, but I absolutely will, because I LOVE J-Horror.
Beyond that, things are a lot murkier. A lot of really good games coming out that are generally more compelling.
3 -
Not really interested in playing killer anymore. The survivor perk that stops scratch marks after a stun is neat but hardly worth the price.
0 -
Nope, but I will access the Chapter via a friend who will buy it and unlock the six teachable perks.
0 -
I didn't buy the Artist, but I'll definitely get this one.
0 -
I mean I kind of have to eventually because I want to P3 all killers and survivors. But if we're talking about when it first comes out, maybe.
It depends on how Sadako's power works and hopefully gets changed for the better. Right now she can't do much in a chase and her power is practically pointless. The only good thing she has right now is that she can teleport through TVs, but that also has a downside since survivors can shut them down.
0 -
Hard to say. She's bad and the DLC doesn't offer any must have perks. Playing her will just be frustration and getting tbagged.

Soon (no)

It's like you're reading my mind!
1 -
Nah, I will definitely purchase Sadako with some auric cells I have laying around, but the survivor choice was bad, and I am not sure a static television charm is enough to convince me to buy him. Rofl.
0 -
Yup. Looking forward to using the new boon + CoH.
0 -
Yes
0 -
I'm not sure.... as of right now I have other Killers I'd need to buy
0 -
Yes.
It looks like a lot of people thinks she needs a buff, but I like her aesthetic a lot. I remember watching the English-language version of the movie as a kid, and I'll try to read the translated novels this month.
I'm looking forward to combining Brine with Pop since Ruin and Undying get done in under a minute some games now that I'm in high MMR, and Merciless Storm is bound to be hilarious on Impossible Skill Check Doctor.

yes I love little yoichi and sadako I grew up with them
