Exhaustion add-ons fair?

Since the latest nerf to exhaustion I really don't see how it's fair killers are still able to trigger your exhaustion without you being able to utilize your perk even once in a chase. It like deletes a whole perk for you permanently through out the whole chase.

Should we talk about totem perks?

I could only think of Clown and Huntress carrying it.

Apparantly Doc and Pig can too but Doc only has it on his ultra rares, and chances are you can use your exhaustion perk before he gets you in tier 3, and Pig has to put a bear trap on you so she has to catch you first anyway so you still get to use it.

So really that only leaves Clown and Huntress. Not like everyone uses it anyway as they'll often use other add-ons.

Honestly its strong but not overpowered. I feel it's fair. Hell I wish more killers had exhaustion add ons.

Nothing more annoying than chasing a Nea who runs for every drop she can find. At least when I play clown I can cut out the BS.

Idgaf about those addons as survivor. I run Dead hard (since I haven't got balanced or Lithe in my bloodweb yet) and if u want me to be honest, I don't mess up much and if someone has those addons, I can still run them for a while.

It isn't fair, but not for the reasons you cite.

If I run a specific killer, with a specific addon, I can temporarily cause exhaustion, if I do something like hit you with a bottle or a hatchet.

On the other hand, any survivor can remove, or make useless, any number of killer perks.

So, let's balance it out. Let's make it so only Jake or Kate can cleanse a totem, and they have to have a toolbox in hand, and hit a series of difficult skill checks, but the totem repairs itself after 1 minute if they leave the immediate area.

I think both sides having an effect on advantages works well. A killer can't guarantee survivors will even have perks to effect, same for the reverse. The gamble is what makes it fair, granted some perks are more favored then others. With that in mind opposing perks and addons should be expected for meta builds.
