This is a complete draft of an Insidious chapter with short descriptions, background, additions, explanations, etc.

I even found quotes from the movie for each of the 12 parks + ability and offering.

Take your time to read through this. may have exaggerated a bit.

Bhvr: if you don't do the chapter, you can still use the talents, i think these are good ideas.

P.S. my original idea was Specks and Tucker as two technical survivors, but we already had something like that in the Resident Evil chapter, so Elise came in additionally as an alternative idea. However, should Specks and Tucker come in, you could give Specks an outfit for Adam from the first Saw movie.

P.P.S. i have written this origenaly in german and way bevor the update that changed the slightly description to actual percentadges. So the add ons are still written with the old system.


Insidious Chapter

Killer:

The Demon

A diabolical killer who uses his ability Demonic Violence to torture survivors in his realm. His personal talents Agitator, Hex: Destruction and Sorrowful Doom help him hunt survivors, cause chaos and break the team apart.

Character Description:

The most powerful resident of the Further, whose hatred is like fire in his face, uses his influence to manipulate and torture. He tortured Dalton's soul to lure Josh Lambert into the further and used the dead Parker Crane to kill Elise Rainer. Even though Dalton escaped, Crane was now in Josh's body and could continue to stir up chaos in the world. The demon looked for a new victim to torture and found the girl Allison, who was involved in an accident, and pulled her into his realm. However, when the spirit of the dead Elise appeared to bring Allison's soul back to life, he was getting ready full of anticipation to destroy her soul forever, when suddenly a thick black mist enveloped him. Waking up in a new realm, he felt the power around him and prepared to throw many more souls into chaos.

Terror radius: 32m

Speed: 4,6m/s

Weapon: Blade Gauntlet (he sharpens it in the first movie)

Ability: Demonic Violence

The demon draws its power from the Entitus to kill survivors and drag their souls into the chaos of the Further.

Dark Presence

The demon always switches back and forth between the two realms for other survivors. (20 seconds in the real world, 5 seconds gone, except in a hunt, where he is allways visible).

The demon's vision is always in the real world.

Soul Tormentor

When the demon has placed a survivor in death status, it can use its ability to pull the survivor into the Further. His body remains behind.

The aura of the body is displayed to the other survivors normally, but with reduced intensity. The icon in the status bar only indicates that he is in the Further.

Only one survivor can be sent to the Further at a time.

Lost soul

The Further is a second level above the real one. Except for some architectural features, such as the Killer shed and the Main House (if any), and solitary wall constellations (you know what i mean), there is nothing there. The death timer is paused in the Further and the soul trapped there wakes up unharmed in a random location, but can be attacked by the killer.

There are ghosts floating around in the Further (2-3 near the survivor).

If the survivor is hit by ghosts, his death timer continues for a short time. The icon in the status bar remains unchanged and does not indicate if he is injured or even in death status.

Astral monitoring

The demon is always visible in the Further.

The demon can press the strength button to focus his vision on the Further.

His movement speed is reduced and he switches very fast between the realms.

If he looks at a survivor in the Further for 10 seconds in this view, his aura will also be displayed to him in the real world.

If the demon hunts the survivor in the Further, he is not visible to other survivors, his terror radius is still audible.

The demon can attack survivors in the Eternal Realm normally.

Survivors in death status in the Further have full progress in the death timer at half speed. Ghosts continue to add to their progress.

Liberation from the Eternal Realm

Survivors can get out of the Eternal Realm when they pass through the random red door that appears at a minimum range of 40 meters from his position, whose aura is always displayed to the killer and at a range of 24m to the survivor and emits a clearly audible roar, or are retrieved by another survivor in the real world by performing the retrieval action on the body.

Retrieval lasts 12 seconds and increases with each additional time.

If the survivor is freed via the Retrieve action, the survivor who performed that action triggers the Killer Instinct.

Active ability: Shadowwalker

The ability charges over time (2min.) and can be used by pressing the active ability button to teleport to lockers further than 36 meters away. (Teleporting aims like Freddy's when using atsral monitoring, but performs like Nurse's and always takes 4 seconds).

A survivor who is in the locker is injured and thrown out.

Pink

Broken Lamp

A destroyed carrying lamp, which was supposed to serve as a guide for the souls of the Further. Glimmers only faintly.

The aura of the red door is no longer visible to the survivor.

Demon doll

The demon's personal masterpiece. Infuses him with seething murderous lust.

Considerably increases the rate at which Shadowwalker charges. when teleporting, the auras of all survivors can be seen.

Purple

Daltan's shackles

The shackles used to torture a young boy, but he managed to escape. Trigger hatred in the demon.

Considerably increases the time survivors need for the retrieval action.

Wooden horse

An elegant wooden horse that decorates the entrance to the demon's dwelling.

Increases tremendously the minimum range to the red door in which the soul wakes up in the eternal realm.

Gas mask

A converted gas mask. Used by a medium to talk to the other side.

Increases tremendously the death timer progress caused by the ghosts.

Killer doll

A doll in the shape of a known serial killer. Puts survivors into a deep state of horror.

Moderately increases the rate at which Shadowwalker charges.

Green

Stained Bedspread

The bedspread of a coma patient. A bloody hand can be seen on it.

Moderately decreases the rate at which Shadowwalker charges. Survivors in a closet that the demon teleports to are placed in death status.

Modified Photo Camera

A camera with a thermometer trigger. Used during Seance to capture the spirits.

Considerably increases the death timer progress the ghosts cause.

Murder photo

The photo Elise took shortly before her death. It shows a woman in a black dress.

Moderately increases the time it takes survivors to perform the Retrieve action. The auras of survivors performing the retrieve actions are displayed.

Sacrificial Doll

A doll that represents a pleading victim. Triggers discomfort in survivors.

Slightly increases the rate at which Shadowwalker charges.

Seance Transcript

Quick transcript of a séance. Cries for help and threats can be read.

Significantly increases the movement speed of Astral Surveillance.

Yellow

Scratched record

One of Renai Lambert's favorite records. Now plays strange music.

Moderately increases the number of ghosts appearing in the Eternal Realm.

Tri-field-meter

A homemade device for measuring the environment. Detects astral changes.

Moderately increases the death timer progress caused by ghosts.

Sketchbook

The book used by Elise and Specks to record ghosts. An ominous figure can be seen in it.

Slightly decreases the time Astral Surveillance takes to make the aura visible. Slightly increases the movement speed of Astral Surveillance.

Baby Monitor

Raine's baby monitor with which she monitored her daughter. Ominous voices can be heard on it.

Slightly increases the number of ghosts appearing in the Eternal Realm. Slightly increases the death timer progress caused by the ghosts.

Metronome

The metronome Elise used to send Josh to the Eternal Realm. Has an almost hypnotic effect.

Moderately increases the time it takes survivors to perform the Retrieve action.

Gray

Tucker's Camera

A modified camera with a color-changing lens. Used to see ghosts.

Slightly increases the death timer progress caused by ghosts.

Photo Box

A box of children's photos of Josh. There is a strange distortion on each one.

Slightly increases the movement speed of the Astral Surveillance.

Tape

An audio tape used to record the occurrences of a séance. Sometimes it records other things as well.

Slightly increases the death timer progress caused by the spirits.

Dalton's drawing of his unwanted trips to the eternal realm. Shows a large red door and a strange figure.

Slightly reduces the time Astral Surveillance takes to make the aura visible.

Talents:

Agitator

Your victims cannot escape your grasp. If a hunt ends with a survivor without you dealing damage to that survivor, that survivor is shown to you by Killer Instinct for 7/8/9 seconds and you get the undetectable status for 7/8/9 seconds. Agitator has a recharge time of 60 seconds.

Hex: Destruction

A Hex that draws its power from the desire for chaos. Each time you damage a generator, all pulled down pallets in your terror radius are destroyed. While the hex is active, you damage generators 6%/8%/10% faster.

"I'll eat your guts and spit them out!"

Sorrowful Doom

You use your desire for chaos to split survivors apart. You are obsessed by a survivor. You can't see the aura of your obsession. You can see the aura of all other survivors in a radius of 8/10/12 meters around the target of the possession.

Survivor:

Tucker Croft

An unconventional inventor who uses his ingenuity for the good of all. With his personal talents of Aggressive Reconnaissance, Fellow Soldier and Equipment, he reveals the killer to others, and assists them with repairs and equipment.

Character Description

Tucker Croft is a technical genius who has experimented with many cinematic technologies before. When he met Steven Fisher, he used his technical savvy for their business to shoot fake ghost videos. But everything changed when they were called to assist Elise Rainer in an investigation. Invigorated by this encounter with real ghosts, from then on he used his inventions to help more people in need. His inventions also enabled him to maintain contact with Elise after her death. Guided by her, he and Specks were sent to the girl Allison. Tucker was getting ready inside the house to do his investigation when he was suddenly enveloped in black fog. He rushed out, only to have Specks travel to the ground. When they both looked up, they were in a strange place and they knew that only with teamwork would they get out of there.

Talents:

Aggressive Reconnaissance

You secure the field for yourself and others. Each time you blind or stun the killer, his aura is displayed to all other survivors for 2/3/4 seconds.

"We'll be the ones awake." Tucker Specks

Fellow Soldier

You will be spurred on to perform at your best to help your teammates. For every living survivor in a match, you get a combined speed bonus of 1%/2%/3% to repair, sabotage hooks, and destroy totems.

"I'm the team's tech expert." Tucker Croft

Equipment

You build your own equipment and know how to best use it. You star with 1/2/3 tokens. When your Item still has 80 percent of it`s charges,vyou can bring it to an open chest and upgrade it one rank higher(yellow to green, etc.), consuming one token.

Steven "Specks" Fisher

An empathetic team player, always ready to help others. With his personal talents of support, at sight, and surviving courage, he supports other survivors, takes out the biggest threats, and stays alive despite losses.

Character Description:

Steven Fisher, always called Specks by everyone, has always been interested in the astral side of life and made this interest his twisted vocation. With the support of the technical genius Tucker Croft, he filmed fake encounters of spirits and earned a living that way. Eventually, his courage was tested when he assisted medium Elise Rainer in an investigation. Enlivened by a new calling, he continued to assist Elise in her investigations alongside Tucker. Despite Elise's death, he knew his task was not over and there were still people who needed help. While talking to the parents of the comatose girl Allison, he was jostled by the startled Tucker and thrown to the ground. All he could see was a black mist as he suddenly found himself in a place that seemed familiar and strange at the same time.

Support

Helping others is your number one goal. For every living survivor in a match, you get a combined speed bonus of 1%/2%/3% to heal and save from hacking.

"We help people, ma`am." Specks Fisher

At sight

You're alert to prevent the worst from happening. The sounds of curse totems are 20% louder. When you clean a curse totem the killer will be shown to you for 3/4/5 seconds.

"We monitor everything, you can rest easy." Specks Fisher

Surviving Courage

You will be inspired and strengthened by your dead comrades-in-arms. Each time a survivor dies, Survivor Courage gains a counter. The maximum number of counters that can be collected is 1/2/3. Press the active ability button to consume a counter. When a counter is consumed, a random status effect is disabled. Surviving Courage can wake you up, cure you of a disease, befuddlement, or insanity. Surviving courage cannot free you from a curse.

Alternate Survivor:

Elise Rainer

A powerful medium who uses her abilities to fight dark entities. Her Personal Talents Medium, Savior, and Astral Power help her identify the killer, prevent harm to others, and resist the killer.

Character Description:

Elise Rainer grew up near a prison and showed a connection to the Eternal Realm at a young age. She used this connection to assist others as a medium, including young Josh Lambert, who was haunted by an old lady in a black wedding dress. This figure, the late Parker Crane, threatened Elise she would die by his hand, causing Elise to abandon her calling and her gift. However, the case of a girl who was haunted by an old man brought her back. She formed a team with amateur ghost hunters Tucker Croft and Steven "Specks" Fisher with whom she ran a business from then on. When young Dalton Lambert, Josh Lambert's son, fell into a coma, the team was brought in to find the cause. Dalton was imprisoned in the Eternal Realm by a red-faced demon, which prompted Elise to send Josh, who had a knack for that sort of thing, there to retrieve Dalton, even when Dalton came back, Josh didn't return and Elise was killed by Parker Crane in Josh's body. However, even from the grave, Elise could not be stopped and helped send Parker Crane back to the Eternal Realm. Henceforth as a ghost, Elise continued to assist Specks and Tucker, as in the case of the young girl Allison, who was unresponsive after a car accident. Once there, Elise immediately realized what had caused it: the demon with the red face was back and getting ready to destroy Elise's soul, when the room suddenly became enveloped in black mist. Elise woke up, now alive again, in the realm of Entitus. She sensed the evil in this place and set out to fight it with new life energy.

Talents:

Medium

Your connection to the other side lets you see evil. At the beginning of a match, the killer is shown to you for 7/8/9 seconds.

"Where is he? Show him to me!" Elise Rainer

Savior

Your strength lies in saving others from harm. The killer is possessed by a survivor. When you save the target of possession from the hook, you become the target of possession. When you are the target of possession: the auras of other survivors are visible at 16m. Your aura is visible to all other survivors within 16m. The killer can see your aura at a range of 16/12/8 meters. Speed for co-op actions is increased by 20%. Decreases chance of becoming a target of possession.

Astral Power

You draw strength from the darkness that pursues you. When you are chased, Astral power is charged. (1 min. Resets at end of chase if not fully charged.keeps it chared, if it is. ) If you stun the killer with Astral Power charged, the killer will be stunned slightly/moderately/moderately longer.

Level 3: the killer is additionally blinded.

"You are stronger than them, you can defeat them. You are alive, they are not!" Elise Rainer

Map: Lambert Residence

The first house of the Lamberts, where their son Dalton fell into an inexplicable coma. Many strange events have been burned into the walls here. Some were so terrible that the Lamberts fled the house without further ado. Now in the realm of Entitus, the events of the Eternal Realm mix with those of the real world. In the attic, a mysterious passageway has now appeared, leading to a place which has not sprung from any human mind.

Sacrifice:

Astral Key

A key that belonged to a figure called Key Face. Greatly increases the likelihood of being sent to the Lambert residence when burned.

"Now you`re outside.
