how do people feel about the artist's map? Eyrie of crows
i really like the look of this map but i personally think this is one of the more survivor sided maps with the high pallet density and how strong they are aswell as the main building and the possibilities of boons covering both floors and the surrounding area. this is just my opinion on the map and id like to see yours.

i hate it as artist lmao because i think that i have a survivor with crows behind me or something.

It’s my favourite map tbh.

why is it your favourite map, just curious

old ormond but worse somehow

No Old mount Ormond is always worse cause. Yes even though Eyrie is just as big as Ormond. Ormond has those rounded loops that are annoying To play around. Eyrie at least has loops that can be played around.

you see i think unless you have an antiloop power, i dont think you can play around those loops as there massive, especially the rock ones. and the worse thing is that its never just one of them, its pallet after pallet after pallet which for the w gaming survivors, its a dream

Bigger and it has a better main building and better general loops.
2 -
I never really had a problem with the loops. I hate the main building though. I agree the main building is stronger than old Ormond. But I think the loops are more fairer than Old Ormond cause ######### those Rock loops on Ormond

It is ok.
I like the scary dark maps more.

I actually like it a lot as pyramid head. It's very bright and I can easily see the survivors. I don't mind the pallets at all because they are prime opportunities to hit them with my power and the building isn't that bad because if they leave through the door they into the dead zone and if they vault they get punishment of the buster sword.
If they go upstairs I might just let them go or follow them and use trail near the top, depending on the design. Also perma trails on the stairs is a surefire way to get everyone tormented and they know what happens next.
Size is my only gripe, but I play territorial around a 4 Gen situation and the problem goes away

I love the look of the map, but gameplay wise this map is bad. The main building is just basically one giant infinite.

Really happy when I get it as a survivor, exact opposite as a killer. 'nuff said.

I don't like the map. The gen spread is atrocious because the map is longer than it is wide, meaning the gens stretch far but not wide. That alone makes patrolling generators a pain, especially as a 110 killer. From a survivor POV, the map is too damn bright, has too many weird sticks and bumps that both survivors and killers get stuck on, the main building is pretty busted. The top floor needs a way of dropping down over the fence.

Visually beautiful but horrible balance wise from my experience.

I love Eyrie. It looks great and different. And plus it is classic DbD map with loop spots.
I hated last 3 maps (Saloon, Midwich and RPD), Eyrie is good map for me.

Looks really good but it's really bad balance wise. Frustrating for both sides. I really wish they'd get away from massive maps with multi-story main buildings.
It has a lot of really strong tiles that chain together on one side and ridiculous dead zones everywhere else.
It's really bizarre how they keep getting map balance so wrong.

Eyrie is the exact same size as Ormond.

It's. . . okay. Would be better if it wasn't a desert. I live in a desert, thus, I hate the desert. If it were smaller, it would be a nicer map, but as it is, it takes forever to get anywhere.

What maps aren't survivor sided? You should just appreciate the visuals as competent survivors will crush you on any map, and you can crush the inept ones on any map. To that end, Eerie is very pretty and visual distinct from the rest of the maps. A great addition.

Eyrie doesn’t bother me as a killer, other than falling off the stairs in the central build being a thing because of a lack of rails. It’s the same size as a lot of other maps and is the median size among all maps, so contrary to popular myth it’s not “huge”. The central building is strong and it has a bright outdoors, making it most similar to Ormond in size, lighting and layout.
Personally I don’t do better or worse on Eyrie or Ormond than most other maps. I think I’m weaker on one or two of the corn maps and on Badham and the currently being revamped Haddenfield. And I get confused by RPD’s layout. So it’s definitely not my worst map.

Wrecker’s Yard, Wretched Shop, and depending on how it plays out, Suffocation Pit and Azarov’s Resting Place can be auto losses for survivor.

Visually very appealing imo. But i despise the map as billy. The collision is worse than macmillian trees.

It's awful. I hate it.
Except the visuals, they're good, but everything else is hot garbage.

Feels bigger.

To me, Eyrie of Crows is just Temple of Purgation but with a survivor sided main building.

beautiful map, but it's too bright and very survivor sided. art team did an amazing job on it, love the vibe

It's not my favorite.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people say that. It could be that it's a bit rectangular instead of square, so if you travel lengthwise it's longer than Ormond but widthwise it's shorter, but hard to say it's just personal perceptions 🤷♂️ Also since it's such a bright outdoors it's probably easier to see longer sightlines outdoors which might make it look bigger than a darker map that you can't see as clearly as far.

Terrible map. God pallets everywhere, and of course a main building with breakable walls. And then they buffed it when they rearranged the tiles recently.

RIP poor Trapper if he gets sent there - there's almost no place to hide traps, making him effectively just an M1 killer.
