pls seperate EU with russia (not political reason! Ping and language reason!)
Hello, I'm a player from EU west, but I constantly get matched with russian players, especially in evening. First of all ping is quite bad sometimes and second I can't chat with the people in after chat. And they just write in their language and I can't understand them.
I'd like to be matched with people, who are using the same letters like me.
Is it possible to give the russians like own matchmaking?

I would gladly take East Europe servers. I am not Russian but i am not close to west servers. And this mean West EU players have better ping than me and this does not feel fair. I should not punish because of my location. East EU servers would fix this problem.

You know eu has 2 servers, one German one london.
So theres alot of places using these two servers and that can cause alot of issues regardless.
But thos has been brought up many times in the past I'm afraid so I doubt more servers will ever be added

A stereotype of a race is inherently racist, I'm not gonna get on everyone's case and try and be the joke police, but you have to at least admit that.

I don't think that's racist tho. If you make a joke without any hateful intentions i think it's okay. If someone is purposefully trying to make someone feel bad or is being hateful then it's different of course. As long as you treat everyone the same it should be acceptable in my opinion.

I don't really have any "ping issues" when I'm playing with them. I also love when they write in their own language when they get mad. It's like they expect everyone to understand lmao

Your trying to dance around the racism aspect so hard mate, look, you can make a joke that's racist while not being a racist, everyone was a middle schooler at one point, but you can deny that the core of the joke is to take a shot at Russian players at their expense.

Frankly, because of all the sanctions, I think you'd get more traction if you did make this a political reason.. although I don't know how far the mods would let that go on here.

The word "race" has a very broad definition and there is no common agreement what a race means. The old "black" vs "white" vs "colored" etc definition is outdated. It can refer to speakers of a common language, an ethnic group or a social construct.
Apart from that here is an excerpt from Wikipedia about racism: "It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity". And Russians are an ethnic group for sure. So yeah, any prejudice against an ethnic group is racist.

That must be the selfish reason I've ever read on this forum. Even though they add a Russian server you could still get match with players from Russia. And time to time players have high ping. You can't prevent this.
Do you know every other language that is spoken in Europe? I play on European servers as well and I see so many players writing in their language. I don't mind not understanding any of them. I suggest you the same.

Except that pretty much no other country holds so tightly onto speaking their language. Everyone else speaks English because it's literally the language we all understand.
Russians are the only people that I seem to never see speaking English when people don't understand their langauge.

There are 2 servers in EU. 1 in the UK and 1 in Germany.
In order to separate the playerbase, they'd have to implement new servers.

BHVR is using Amazon Game Servers, which are not supported in Russia.
While it is true that there are many languages in Europe, especially Russians tend to start glibbering in their language once the game is about to start or over, assuming that everyone understands this pile of symbols.
But, on a more serious note - the thing is, DBD has Hit Validation implemented. This should help against high Ping. However, the system in itself is heavily flawed, because we have players from Russia playing on EU-Servers. They will have high Ping, this is not avoidable at all. And because of this, Hit Validation has to be very generous, because otherwise those players would not get any Hits at all.
In general, it was dumb from BHVR to introduce Dedicated Servers without the possibility to have Servers in basically every Region of the world. And now we are stuck with this mess and Hit Validation is not really doing anything, because you cannot just make Russian players not get any Hits anymore for a thing they cannot avoid (in this case - playing in EU-Servers because they dont have a closer Server).
@Topic:
As described, not possible to split between EU and Russia. The only fix BHVR can do would be to display the Killers Ping in the Lobby, since this is the important information. The own Ping to the Server is nice to see, but it is meaningless, if the Killer has a high Ping. So they should display the Ping of the Killer in the Lobby so that Survivors can either decide to go into another Lobby or at the very least are prepared for questionable Hits.

Most of the time when camping or tunneling happens at the start of the game for no reason it almost always is a Russian player. This is an observation, not that they all do it. But there is for sure some correlation between Russians and toxic gameplay behaviour in dbd from what I experience.
