I found some evidence of a spider based killer
So lately I've saw proof that a spider based killer might be entering the game. Note Pennywise is a spider like entity but it's unsure as it is all guesses and what I've been noticing from dbd.

While it is unlikely, I am still hoping for an original Spider-Killer for the Anniversary. I am simply fed up with licensed Content, 3 licensed Killers in one year is too much, especially because Sadako and Pinhead are not really exciting (at least for me).
While Anniversary Chapters have been licensed Content, a complete new approach to a Killer would be something worth for an Anniversary IMO, a Spider would bring a new Model, animations and probably tons of work going into this Killer.
But, very unlikely for the Anniversary.

It is likely, for example blight had scenes before he was in the game. It's just unknown when we are getting a spider based killer. If anything I think the anniversary killer might be Springtrap or Pennywise (note he's a spider like entity).
But if anything I think the spider based killer is more likely going to be an original killer chapter. I do believe it is possible to get a beast like killer as we have the Demogorgon

No more LICENSED KILLERS! They are beyond nothing like thier actual movie counterparts and we don't need another one. Now it's time for a original killer.

Oh no, they should stop right there! So far, any asymmetrical game dies almost immediately after introducing a spider character! Evolve introduced the Gorgon, and the games devs stop development and updating it like 2 months later because of the massive drop in popularity and players... The last Year introduced their Spider in December 2019, and the game practically Died as of March 2020!
BHVR needs to see the pattern here and avoid the same fatal mistake: Spider = Death to asymmetrical games!
Stop the Spider Curse! Or else this game will perish just like every other of it's kind!

If they bring spiders they'll have to do something about arachnophobes. It's such a common phobia. Even a survival game with insects had to make an accessibility option for it.

To be fair, that was years ago so it’s not literally impossible they may have developed the engine to the point they could work around the limits they ran into before on that. But yeah, non-humanoid is unlikely since it’s probably way simpler to have a mostly human skeleton for the animations.
As far as the original post and spiders go, they’ve hinted lore wise that the entity is something like an arachnid with its spider like tendrils. So I could see a killer which is an avatar of the entity which can call on spiders or spider like tendrils to do its bidding, even if that creature itself is roughly humanoid.
Also on a tangent if It ever joins the game Pennywise’s true form is spider-like I think too.

Gonna be honest I think the idea on a humanoid spider creature is the most likely. It means they don't have to redesign every single map and can use the same hotbox (because giant spider going in through a doorway and climbing stairs? Absolutely not).

Well now I’m picturing a human sized spider skittering around in buildings and I actually want to see it, that could be pretty sick! 🙂

Lots of potential for a spider killer;
Webs for covering gens (slow down) blocking vaults and slowing survivors that walk into it.
Downed survivors wrapped in web, survivors need to be unwrapped before healing

Remember yall thought "The Crawler" was chapter 18 but it was The Twins, I don't believe any of this, although the theory is interesting and id like to see how it would work

I've been thinking this was a possibility for a while and it could be cool but also slightly dreading the possibility as an arachnophobe.
I could probably deal as long as the mouth isn't too spidery idk why that part freaks me out the most. The potential for such a killer is pretty interesting with the ability to block or slow certain areas with webbing.

Its Great to See ppl still know about Evolve :D i Miss this Game so much
Btw i dont Think Evolve died because they Added a Spider Monster we still got Updates vor like 3 month ans then the Devs was Working on the free 2 Play Version that still lived for like 6 months
The Reason Evolve died was because the Game doesnt hat alot Content and the DLC Politic was awful :(

Guys anything thats upright with 2 arms and 2 legs and a single head is what is called humanoid which even the Demo fits into. The trouble isnt the desing department but its implementation and rigging. As lets say its a spider type killer with 6 legs that can crawl up and around walls youd need a whole separate team to figure out how to implement its sys on every map properly. Youd need to make sure it wouldnt clip on some maps as well as how it could fit into tight spaces. Saying this tho does not meant its im possible for them to pull it off I just dont think risks involved outweigh the rewards. Personally if they wanted to test a non humanoid type killer i feel like they should start with an idea like The Blob so it could function and play completely separate but limbs wouldnt need to be registered and it could manuever around in a somewhat non euclidian geometry sort of way.

Some spiders actually produce milk for their babies. But from their abdomen, so kind of close. I read an article once suggesting we switch to spider milk from dairy because it's more nutritious. 🤮

I don't have a problem with normal spiders, but a huge one that runs at me with murderous intent would kind of bug me.
