Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

How is it possible that this game's anti cheat is so bad?

Cheating survivors can literally automatically escape the match while the hatch is not here and the gates are closed and the game does not detect anything suspicious? It is easy to code. Even if it takes 3 games to make sure an hacking killer does not drop the survivor or something like that.

    Hackers are the better programmers.

Because it’s a 5 year old spaghetti mess of code. Can’t be too hard to hack

Developing anticheat cost money. BHVR seems to believe that spending that money isn't worth the time and/or effort.

At this point, I'm thinking that the issue is less the anticheat and more the Epic free week thing that likely armed cheaters with endless amounts of free accounts.

easy anticheat, its a terrible anticheat, when a game called hood announced it would use easy anticheat, everyone predicted hackers would bypass it and then it got worse because there where blatant hackers during the beta.
