Dear BHVR: Never release another solo survivor again please
Don't.
First was Bill, who is the exception.
Then came Ash with release Mettle of man, which was a free health state with no major downsides. This was quickly nerfed, however them few weeks with MoM being in it's prime were pain since I was a Legion player back then.
Now it's Mikaela with the parasite that is Circle of healing. I don't have hours to spend writing how much I actually despise this perk.
I know there's literally no reason to buy survivors other than their perks, and I know since it's happened twice now that perks are pushed out over tuned in order for a reason to buy them on their own.
Can we just not thanks.
(yes I did just lose to circle of healing how could you tell?)

But what If I want Buffy? 🥺

Mikaela came out at the same time as Pinhead because there wasnt a licensed counterpart is my understanding.
2 -
BHVR should do John Constantine and THEN not do any more.
I must keep the dream alive...

Is Bill the exception? I've seen posts on the forums calling Unbreakable 'uncounterable'. A lot of hate for Borrowed Time too. Left Behind isn't exactly fun either, a perk that promotes waiting for everyone else to die just to see the hatch aura.

I wanna Shaggy in game. I don't care full chapter or solo but i wanna him in game
1 -
No way Dc would agree to that lmao they are too stupid

He definitely is the exception. Forum posts aren’t accurate 80% of the time. Unbreakable by itself is counterable by not slugging. BT there has been some controversy but no where near what I’ve seen for others. And who in the hell is running left behind in their main build? Even if you are, that doesn’t necessarily mean your waiting for team mates to die. You are just benefitted from surviving the longest. Likewise with perks like sole survivor

They might agree to the defunct Vertigo version being in the game, which is what I want anyway. If it's the choice between current DC Constantine and nothing, I'd choose nothing- no shade to that version of the character but he wouldn't fit nearly as well in this game.

Mettle of Moneymaker

Bill wasn't the exception! He brought in BT which was crazy at the time of release:
Tier 3 (credit to the wiki):
Sure it was only a one time use but the counter to this perk was to insidious camp a hooked survivor (which I may have done to prove a point...). You can imagine what this was like when used 4 times a match or at end game.

If it's any consolation the bleed out timer wasn't like Deep Wounds and it didn't pause while running, only while being healed, which was impossible if you didn't have self care or a Medkit, which were substantially worse back then.
Still bullshit, but better than if it had that effect with modern day deep wounds. Plus it had this really, really cool b/w filter over the game that I wish they'd bring back.

Uncommon perks used to cost 8000 BP?
Now I’m glad I didn’t play way back then.
3 -
Well, yes and no
The cost of items on the bloodweb didn't depend on their rarity, but which ring they were apart of
1st ring was 3000
2nd ring was 5000
3rd ring was 8000
so you could be lucky and get a high rarity item for 3k, or get the much more common occurrence of getting a poopy brown medkit for 8k!

I miss that aspect of old BT. Protecting the unhooker as well. Was an actual anti-camp perk. One time use that you couldn’t choose when to activate was very problematic though.
1 -
Oh I see. That sounds really dumb lol

I mean, you could just do normal stuff until the hatch appears, you're probably more beneficial running around before it appears anyways than just sitting still, then again, it is RNG, so no one would know what would be better

Man, dbd players cries a lot, It's incredible. Boon was one of the most different mechanics in game, and It had already nerfed, being 25% slower. Another boons aren't that cool. There's a difference between something strong and something broken
0 -
Yeah I've never noticed that trend but it's true. Some of the worst to face survivor perks came from survivor paragraphs.
1 -
They added it at a time when survivors don't need anymore crutches, they are already on demi-god level now in DBD.
If you go against the SWF you are literally their entertainment, you will be flamed, abused, insulted etc.

I mean, Leatherface brought BBQ and Pinhead brought Scourge hooks so I don't see why survivors can't get anything strong too. CoH was nerfed by a quarter percent already and Mettle of Man is even less popular than BBQ.
4 -
Man did not just say scourge hooks and BBQ are similar in strength to circle of healing.
One gives the entire team infinite free med kits for 1 perk slot + guaranteed wins against hit and run killers, the others grant mediocre pressure and tracking.

Be careful what you wish for
We might see a chapter with only two survivors next time instead...

I think you're being a little too overdramatic here.
CoH sucks, I know. I play killer too. But CoH has been nerfed already and it's only a single perk. It takes at least 12~24 seconds to bless, 1 second to snuff them. It has a distinct sound + blue light and it also helps me track injured survivors around the boon itself after memorising its location.
Not to mention, Dead Hard is still more popular than CoH atm so I think DH needs to be looked at first instead of focusing on CoH. Just sayin'

I don't know man, I was there when Bill was released, and BT was broken AF back then. It used to give a much more significant protection to BOTH the unhooker and the unhookee. Bhvr has never released a balanced solo survivor chapter.

You will never snuff the totem unless you actively go looking for it because good survivors will never lead you to it. An even remotely decent CoH location on the opposite end of the map from a 3 gen or in main can take a killer 15 seconds minimum to just walk there, and another 15 back.
This also drops chase, and gives all 4 survivors chance to be on gens while you do this.
"It's only a single perk" Yea, it literally gives the entire team med kits for ONE perk slot. How am I being overdramatic?
1 -
Because you're blowing it way out of proportion.
CoH is not broken, OP or even unfair. It's a powerful perk, but it doesn't break the game. It's been adjusted, nerfed and balanced accordingly.
And like I said, Boons in general are still 2nd tier perks that is overshadowed by Borrowed Time, Self Care and most of all, Dead Hard. It's not as meta as you make it out to be. I see maybe one CoH and two if many in a team.
People still prefer bring medkits than CoH since it takes up a whole perk slot when they could equip smth more useful.
Rather than talking about a perk's potential, talk about it's usage rate and effectiveness. It's not THAT broken. I'm telling you.

As if releasing a solo survivor has any relation to balance of perks.
They could have released Mikaela with a killer and her perks would have remained the same.

You're baiting wp you got me.
2 -
Got me too for a minute haha. Now that's good bait.
0 -
I like how killers can get like, 5-6 meta slowdown perks basically in a row and still complain endlessly about the 1 meta-worthy survivor perk that gets released.
I think Circle is pretty overhyped anyway. It's a strong perk, sure, but it's not breaking the game like people are claiming.
0 -
The "overshadowed by self care" part gave it away but they had me for a looooong time.
0 -
You realize this applies to most killers, right?
0 -
Nobody Will use this new totten, because it's to weak. It's normal to lose a game for a swf, but, at least me, It's not the end of word
