New Killer: The Petrified
Killer Data
Overview: The Petrified is a horrifying Killer, capable of constantly applying pressure and appearing out of nowhere. Its personal perks allow it to punish Survivors for their empathy and their fear in equal measure.
Appearance: A large, pitch black mass of only a barely humanoid shape, with petrified wood making up its forearms and legs, the wood on its right hand acting as its weapon.
Speed: 115% (4.6 m/s)
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Height: Tall
Primary Power: Altar
A large, cylindrical altar will appear in the center of the map (or as close to it as possible) at the start of the match. The altar has 11 unlit candles lining it along with one lit candle, one additional candle being lit each time a Survivor is hooked. The Petrified can see the aura of the altar in white.
Survivors can interact with the altar in a 15 second channel, which if successful removes one lit candle from it. The Petrified gets a notification whenever a Survivor interacts with the altar, however.
The Petrified can teleport to the altar by holding the Active Ability button for 3 seconds while not within 8 meters of it. After the Petrified appears from the altar, it moves at 3 m/s for 1 second before returning to normal speed over the course of 2 seconds. This has a cooldown of 40 seconds.
Secondary Power: Deadwood
The Petrified can interact with the altar for 2 seconds using the Active Ability Button, to put out a lit candle. For the next 60 seconds after doing so, everything on the map changes to an ashy, wood-like texture.
While Deadwood is active, the Petrified is Undetectable. It can also go through walls and pallets for up to 5 seconds during Deadwood's full duration, though it does so at 1 m/s. The timer of Deadwood is paused while moving through walls.
The altar cannot be interacted with by any player while Deadwood is active.
Tertiary Power: Terror's Call
Clicking and holding the Power Button for 1 second will cause the Petrified to scream, causing everyone within its terror radius to scream as well, revealing their location for 4 seconds, and have all action speeds decreased by 30% for 5 seconds. For 1 second after using Terror's Call, the Petrified moves at 3 m/s.
While Deadwood is active, the scream's effect covers the entire map.
Terror's Call has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
Add-ons
- Increases the initial number of lit candles by 1/2/2. Decreases the time it takes for a Survivor to remove a lit candle by 3/4/2 seconds.
- Increases the time it takes to remove a lit candle from the altar by 2/3/4 seconds.
- While Deadwood is active, all Survivors are afflicted with Blindness.
- Increases the duration of Deadwood by 5/7/9 seconds.
- Increases the speed of the Petrified while Deadwood is active by 0.2/0.3/0.4 m/s.
- Decreases the slowdown time after using Terror's Call by 0.2/0.3/0.4 seconds.
Iridescent Add-ons
Iridescent Splinter
A bloodied crystalline shard.
As soon as the match starts, Deadwood activates. There are no candles initially lit on the altar.
Empty Blood Bag
Your foe's last meal. With it, you can track them perfectly.
You become Obsessed with one Survivor. As long as Deadwood is active, the Obsession's aura is revealed to you while they're within 32 meters of the altar.
Perks
Scourge Hook: Shadow's Chill
The display of your efficiency sends a chill down your prey's spine.
At the start of a Trial, 4 random hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks. The auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
When a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, Survivors within 48 meters of the hook have their repairing, cleansing and healing speeds reduced by 12/16/20% for as long as the Survivor remains hooked.
Whenever a Survivor that was previously hooked on a Scourge Hook is hooked again, regardless of the hook type, the same effect activates.
Vital Strike
Attempts at altruism won't go unpunished.
Whenever a Survivor takes a protection hit or are hit within 10 seconds of performing an altruistic action, this perk gains one token (max 5/4/3).
Once this perk reaches max tokens, the next Survivor to be hit with a basic attack will be Hindered by 20% for 30 seconds. Afterwards, all of this perk's tokens are removed.
Hex: Shaken
Any reminder of your actions is enough to paralyze your past prey.
When a Survivor is injured or downed, all injured Survivors become 50% louder and have their healing, mending, unhooking and blessing speeds slowed by 20% for the next 40/50/60 seconds.
The effects of this perk are doubled while an affected Survivor is within your terror radius.
