Prediction - DH or CoH nerf within two weeks
Given that this is probably the most unified I've seen the player base (in terms of opinions on overall game state / fun), I'm almost certain that CoH or DH will be slammed soon to placate people.
I'd imagine this will be followed shortly (or simultaneously) with a face camping and/or NOED nerf.
Just conjecture, but one has to assume some type of offering will be made to placate the mob.

I wish.

Nah. They "nerfed" CoH already and Dead Hard is a thing that never got touched. I also run it like crazy to get the "80% of every game" stats which was one reason they nerfed Ruin, but I think that was more of an excuse rather than a reason

COH was just touched so I don't think it is getting another change soon-ish. I am a bit on the fence in regards of perk changes unless some elements of the core game are touched... like yes, DH is annoying, but Survivors are in the 50/50 spectrum between escaping and being sacrificed.

I have a sneaking suspicion that things are a bit more heated behind the scenes, atm.

The devs pulled it off before to ignore the unified crowd so I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened, but you can hope I guess...

No because CoH is sold on Mikaela, who is a solo survivor, and DH requires effort to nerf.
3 -
Ill believe it "if" it actually happens.

CoH needs to be straight up deleted but I don't expect them to do anything to it even though it's ruined the game. I hate the perk, but it doesn't really matter if they nerf DH into the ground because survivors will just use Overcome or something equally annoying. They need to delete CoH and fix the maps more than anything

yeah, somehow. but in most of my games not because of good gameplay. most games are decided by camping, tunneling or over altruistic behavior, granting free double downs etc. Or genrush on the other side when the first chase slightly took too long
I know there were always complaints about tunneling and camping, but about 1,5 years ago I took some stats about that and saw that tunneling wasn't that bad. like every 3rd to 4th game everyone was hooked at least once before the first died, average first kill was around 6.5th hook (while 9th hook is the latest possible kill and understandable hard for killer if everyone is on death hook before someone dies). It really wasn't that bad.
But I feel like since boons were released, killers play much more scummy, tunneling is way more common and the game health overall has suffered. So I really wouldnt only look at the killrates. I think matchmaking and MMR/ranking are the biggest problem and lead to wrong stats, because there are more people matched together that shouldn't play together, compared to well matched games that could actually give better insight on how balanced the game is.

CoH nerf? I can see it receiving minor changes, but not some huge nerf that some people want. Same with DH in my opinion. These perks are here to stay.

Reminder for the 28th to come back here

I agree with you. I started playing late 2020. Camping and tunnelling were not common tactics like I encountered them maybe once every 10 or so matches (and at times it was mostly new-ish Killers trying to understand how the game worked), but now it seems to be the new normal where it's rare to see a match where killers do not rely on them.
I understand why Killers do it because at times, it is really the only way to tilting a match at one's favour. I play Deathslinger. Before his nerf, I could secure one or two kills without needing to sweat for them and the game had a fun mechanic to me which incited me to play Killer more often. After his unnecessary nerf, I struggle to give five hooks across all Survivors even less to get 4k without needing to sweat the whole match and I absolutely loathe it.
But I also know that, as Survivor, there is little to nothing you can do about camping, tunnelling or slugging. Some Killers some with anti-loop abilities that render most jungle gyms useless so I know you may need DH to last a reliable amount of time. Even then, in SoloQ, you are never guaranteed your teammates are doing anything useful during that lapse of time regardless.
It's just why I say this is not a Killer vs Survivor argument. Game health requires to be addressed.

Doubtful. DH has been complained about forever and they haven’t touched it (personally I don’t really care that much about DH, but survivors who use it then have no right to criticize killers for whatever “crutch perks” they use.
As for CoH, I also doubt it will be further nerfed unless killer players start leaving the game in droves, which they haven’t (yet). There are still enough killer players who suck it up and deal with it to keep the survivor queue times from getting out of control.

I predict neither will happen any time soon.

That would be nice, but I don't think so.
CoH just got nerfed. Boons as a whole need a second look, but this will likely be a long-term change.
DH will be changed, but it would represent a massive shift to the meta and would have to be done very carefully. My guess is that this will be in the midpatch.
I predict in the short term that we'll see:
- More events.
- Sadako getting some buffs (wishful thinking maybe).
- Some behind-the-scenes adjustments to MMR.

We still have about a year or so before the devs will do something about CoH, Mikaela is selling well isn't she?

I'm pressing F to doubt. But I won't take away your dream.

The next Mid Patch PTB should be coming up pretty soon. They seem to do much more content based patches in April and October.

Depends on what the mighty stats say.

When this will happened ?

I just hope they don’t make it worse than self care, that’s what I feel like could happen.
2 -
Wait, killers started to be more scummy when Resident Evil chapter was relised, endless camping and tunneling killers amount was growing really Quick
0 -
I)n my perception it started slightly delayed after CoH came out

Hey
0 -
Why not both? They both affect the weakest killers in the game the most.
0 -
You clearly haven't paid much attention to the devs' response time over the years.
2 -
Nerfing dead hard or CoH? There’s more chance of them nerfing NOED next patch instead of upsetting their survivor player base.
NOED doesn’t need to be nerfed anyway it’s a one time hex and once it’s gone that’s it, where as boons are like whack a mole they come back as soon as you snuff it.
1 -
I take it you haven’t seen the statistics taken from the actual servers then. It’s like 15 killers per every 4K survivors.
there has already been a mass of killers quitting.

The idea is BHVR will remove the distance gained from DH and keep the I-frames. They did say they dislike how survivors are using for it's distance than for the frames

You were so close!! Literally 2 days out man lmfao

I was gonna make an update while it was still active that said 'before April 1st,' but didn't :(
Pretty amused at all the people who said DEVS BIASED - NO NERF COH OR DH being dead wrong.
