We complain a lot. I think thats great.

Whenever I see people throw around the agenda that killer/survivor mains complain too much, I feel like im listening to a smoker talking about how many downsides smoking has. Only with much more emotion attached, and, most notably, the possibility of improvement.

I love that.

I see recommendations and ideas daily, where i think people have hit the nail on its head, I was able to read legitimate counterpoints for opinions I held and thought were rule. And as much as it can get on the nerves of devs, and players alike, I believe the amount of moaning and groaning just shows how many people care about this games success.

Although were dealing with a lot of current bugs and exploits and balancing issues that haven't been addressed yet, there is a lot of potential in this totally incoherent mess of a game. But I don't need to tell all of you that.

I need to tell all of you hOW BROKEN AND UNPLAYABLE....

that's cool and all, except they don't listen to these complaints at all.

they're also under the false impression that they can only patch the game every 3 months when new content drops.

remember the boil over patch? it was broken but it also improved other perks like power struggle that needed it, and those perks actually started getting used for a while.

now, boil over meta lasted only a week, then it got fixed and everything went back to dh and decisive strike. but imagine if we got a new patch every 2 weeks with changes like that. even if something was broken, you'd have the hope that it would be fixed soon.

while as of now, it's been 6 months and CoH is still busted. and we will probably have to wait the next chapter for any changes.

People who are enjoying the game usually don't come to the forum to rave about it. Online forums are predominantly negative because people with gripes are always the most vocal, which is pretty much universally true.

It's human nature to complain and blame others for everything.

As I always say - you have to care deeply about something to be passionate about it, and a lot of the forum rage grows out of this passion. It's when the forums become a ghost town that you need to worry.

However, the Ringu expansion felt like it needed another few weeks of development and testing. This has been the worst patch in a long while. I understand why people are irritated.

Exactly. If we didn't complain so much, it would show we didn't care, because there is a lot to complain about.

I think complaint can worth something, complaining about complaints itself feels literally pointless and waste of time, it's not like anyone stops complaining when you dismiss them.

The only things that can be obnoxious:

-people write the same thing 5 times

-people often just take an opinion from a content creator and treat it as factual

-If one problem becomes more popular, suddenly it seems like everyone has the problem

-it's not WHAT they say, it's HOW they say it

-People sometimes don't want a discussion, they only want to vent

-Sometimes there are no ideas to improve the problem in a balanced way

i love these forums, but sometimes they are pretty cringe, but i guess that is pretty normal for such a Project.
