Steam is Unreliable.
I don't know if DBD can delink the need for Steam to be online for you to play, but if they can, they need to. I get so many temp bans because steam will randomly lose connection for a whopping 30 seconds... This is ridiculous, I shouldn't be penalized for 3rd party interference!

It has to be your internet or something weird in your account. This has never happened to a lot of us

I only have an issue with Steam during their Tuesday maintenance. I've been playing since Stranger things and it's rarely ever kicked me off. I do have really good internet though, so it could be your provider.

We did apply a tentative fix for the Steam Maintenance issue and I was in-game on Tuesday when maintenance happened and I definitely didn't get a disconnection penalty.
I think the OP has a different issue that's causing them to lose connection to Steam.

My point is they need to fix it so you're not punished if your loss of connection isn't your own fault. I've listed ideas in my other discussion.
